i just bought the wave
should i put a screen protector
my firmware version is ODDJE7 as per KIES and it says this cant be updated
is that right is it the latest firmware
i am not able to get my location in GPS
it is taking a long time and doesnt load
i am from India
can anybody help on this

fadz, 30 Jun 2010same here. i'm waiting online stores to lower their prices.... morei have checked cells4u.com with BBB and they give them A(from F to A+) and they accept paypal ive contact them also and i dont see a problem why not to buy from them. And i was watching the price for the wave, when it first came to cells4u.com it was more then $400 then it dropped to $385 and now its $365. but im gonna wait it till it drops at least $50 then im definitely buying it. if u got any info or you know someone who bought something from them please tell me. and thanks for the reply. =D

So... moresame here. i'm waiting online stores to lower their prices. the cheapest so far is cells4u.com @ $365usd. this price is since as 10 days ago. hopefully, their price would go down to $299usd by 1st week of july. if you can still wait, don't buy while still hot. buy it after 2 months and perhaps the price would even lower to $250usd.

I can see that the interest for the phone is going away. So now can someone tell me what site should i use for online shopping( i want to get this phone but i can get it only by the internet and i dont want to loose my money for nothing) so if any one can tell me s some SAFE site's and with good price of course. Mike, 29 Jun 2010could someone in simple language explain to me what is this... morekies is the new samsung version of PC Suite (like with L.G. and such).Firmware is basically the programing your phone has.its what it does.for example,its speed,if you can watch flash videos in web pages,if it has copy/paste function and so on.when you update your firmware you over write the FW(firmware) it has and put another one in its place.updates are what puts new things in your phone that werent there before.if your happy with your phone then you dont need to do anything but if samsung release a new FW which brings faster response,better web browser and flaher looking icons(or whatever else)then you can update to get new stuff on your phone making it more efficient and/or more user friendly.it all depends on what knew stuff they put in each update.

The Samsung Wave stole my heart on the first day and I struggled to find any major faults with it. Even the new Bada operating system surprised me by its flexibility, speed and usability which I really did not expect, but let’s look deeper into the hardware features to see if it is as good underneath as it is on the surface.

ive givin up trying to update my firmware through kies.the first time it said there was an error and couldnt re-load the original firmware back but i got it back luckily.uninstalled and reinstalled kies agian but the second time it took so long that the phone heated up so much that it shut down therefore stoping the update and with a warning never to turn off a phone during an update.if some one has had the same problem and solved it then let me know cos i wanna update but kies just doesnt seem safe enough for me.

Hi everyone, I think you would all thank me for this site, this is the best ever site I have come across talking exclusively about Wave, coveres everything you need to know. (still nothing much on Flash player on this phone. its written by the well respected writer in this field who review many other phones in the past 3 years, he is generally very critical, but he truly struggles to fault the Wave as he say it himself, have a read and tell me what you think! thanks (remember this is in four parts so read all four parts to get the full picture)

Anyone knows if I can create a folder in the menu screen to store a few applications in it.
I have installed a lot of applications and found it kinda messy.

No one knows a good and safe site???? i asked this question 20times and no one answered me(except one that says that expansys.com is a good site) but i need some more info about it or other sites please if anyone know a good online site please reply..im in the US and the Samsung wave is nowhere to find..

found a new feature in this phn.. when in silent mode if u play a video it gives a popup "activate sound in silent mode"..
donno abt iOs bt symbian n andriod dnt hv dis small but effective feature..
A drawback.. music cannot b played while using a java app.. if the java app is in tje background music plays but once tht app is "playing" music is muted.. seems bada runs java games keeping the soumd channel reserved fr it..
i foumd while listeng tomusic n opening up opera mini..
regarding black colour wave.. mine is black too.. it hs a uniform colour frm top to bottom.. i bought if frm mumbai India..

Sweety, 29 Jun 2010I have heard in Mumbai,India that you get it from dealers a... moreim sharing the same with you.but i didnt found a good web site online shop that is quite secure. =/ and of course i want to buy it with my own earned money(im not getting money from my parents for a mobile phone when i can get a mobile for 90% less but thats just my parents opinion)
