PR, 26 Dec 2010 Is it necessary to have a Screen Guard for the Wave II. ... morethe phone has a scratch resistant screen so its not really needed.bare in mind that scratch resistant is not scratch proof so some people do use a guard.if you dont have a pouch or case or a usually rough with your phone then you might like to use one.it wont affect in any notable way the performance of the screen.i donjt have one on my s8500 and after 6 months its perfect.although i do take good care with my phones.

May be wave 8530 is a good product, but original wave was popular because of S.amoled screen. There are other alternatives like C7,vivaz etc. The price is not very attractive. But someone who is using it should detail their experience. The battery back up is important for smartphones.

Is it necessary to have a Screen Guard for the Wave II.
I haven't yet removed the layer which comes along with the new phone... Just afraid of the scratches on the screen. Is the screen protector advantageous or disadvantageous on a touch screen ?
Searched in Google and have different opinions about the Screen guard for Wave..
Do let me know where can I get the screen protector in India or Bangalore for Wave II.
Regards,
PR.

Got this beauty today and this is my first touch screen phone and the costliest phone I have got till today....
The price is reasonably fair (Rs. 18,535) becoz there were rumors that the price would be around 22-24 K.
Sound is superb... The 5.1 surround is amazing...
Talking about the S-LCD and S-AMOLED... I don't care much about this... Wave 8500 is something which is no more... No point in talking about something which doesn't exist any more.. I assume Samsung is not a dumb company to keep fire under its own ass.. Appreciate Samsung for being fair in the price of Wave II.
The mobile gets charged even from USB Cable... So, even if people say Wave II battery drains out quickly than Wave I, it doesn't matter much to me...
Last but not the least... May Wave 8500 soul rest in peace... If some are still looking for Wave I 8500, they can order it from Amazon.com, but not sure how much the international delivery prices can cost you after the import duties and taxes..
Regards,
PR.

[deleted post]I Just got the Samsung S8530 Wave II at 18,585 in Sangeetha store(Marathahalli, Bangalore) including all the tax or what ever it is..
When i enquired in univercell, they said, its not yet released in the market and it will take 2 more weeks for Wave II to arrive.. What a pity on Univercell for their delayed updates on Rocking products...
