I really wanted a wave with a bigger screen:) bt if the specs are the same its nt really al that different.. With a bigger screen+bigger phone= better or more specs bt then its really abit pointless.. Ther shuld be more room inside that phone for extras.. then i wil definitely buy it.. Otherwise s8500 is fine then

Ugly form factor
Bada OS
Recommendations:
Use Samsung F480 or Samsung i900 Omnia form factor
Use Android 2.2

Using zte blade, fully featured android 480x800 display phone costs under £100 on uk orange. What will this cost? Without super amoled display and an o/s that seems to run out of memory and demand widgets are all closed on existing wave, hope they fixed that, don't see the point of this phone!

The reason the Iphone 4's screan shows better sharpness in some ways is because it is a higher resolution on a smaller screen. And the text gets a bit bright. Like always there is a little give and take. Other than that the Amoled and Super Amoled screens are superb! Just another apple fan.....

The Wave 1 is the perfect size for a smartphone. I don't see a reason to make the screen bigger, it will make the phone to bulky and to difficult to use. With the upgrade to bada 1.2 there is no reason to buy the wave II. I will stick to my wave 1 thank you.

I had this s8530 a months back..it's a really user friendly phone..it's picture quality is 2 good...

The price for Wave 1 was too low for such a good phone with a great screen, Samsung probably loses money with it, wanting to promote Bada. Wave 1 was selling so well now they are running out of stock. My Wave will become a collector !!!

My Wave is perfect size, don't want a bigger one with worse screen...
And with the coming upgrade to new Bada, why buy this ??? Only because the shortage of screens from Samsung.
At least it means samsung believes in Bada and Wave

Super AMOLED is still subpar to the iPhone 4's screen.
If you look closely at the S.AMOLED screen, you will notice that the lines have some jaggedness to it. This is because of the inferior PenTile Matrix all AMOLED's use.
If you put this side by side with an iPhone 4, you'll clearly see the difference when looking at text and graphs. It's nowhere as sharp as the retina display.
Oh, beware that once you realize the jaggedness of the fonts and lines, you'll dislike your screen a lot. And if you ever spend some time with the iPhone 4's display, you'll hate the AMOLED even more.
Of course, this is for people who look at text a lot, like me, who reads magazines and lots of news websites. AMOLED does have some advantages in brightness and contras ratio but that's about it. No body ever uses their phone in full brightness anyway.

The screen size icrement is good but take note of it guys, its not a "SUPER AMOLED SCREEN".
So the screen would not be as crisp & clear as WAVE S8500(wave1).
There is absolutely no change apart from that.
The LCD screen on this phone is a cheaper to produce & of lower quality than a "SUPER AMOLED SCREEN". So dont be fools to buy this phone for a price of Galaxy S.
Buy smart guyz!!!

Absence of Super AMOLED will kill Wave 2 faster than expected . No additional features vis a vis Wave 1.Only shortage of SUPER AMOLED Screens led to birth of WAVE 2. Guys be careful..

Don't buy this phone for a price of Samsung Galaxy.This is rubbish. The display is the worst one and cheap.

i think i'd stay with the original wave than this one. tho i would love the bigger screen, the original wave had the better styling. imo.
