At first I absolutely LOVED this phone, I mean everything about it was brilliant. I took amazing care of it, I didn't take the protective screen off for 3 weeks, I didn't drop it and I put it in a case, THEN IT ALL WENT VERY WRONG!! After a week or so the screen started to leak its colours or show no display whatsoever and I had to turn the phone off then on again repeatedly for it to appear normal. At first I thought it would be ok and I waited a few more days and then decided to complain. Vodaphone said they would send me a replacement but cancelled it as I didn't complain in the 14 day guarantee which I didn't have a clue about and to make it worse they didn't tell me they cancelled the replacement and now I've had to suffer with this one until they decide to fix it for me. Just over one month on, the screen now shows no display whatsoever, even after been turned on and off and I have just been sent the repair package and to top it all off I still have to pay the contract without using the phone anyway!!! To anyone thinking to buy this phone DON'T CONSIDER IT. To be honest you're much better off considering a SONY ERICSSON as my sister just got the new one and it is an amazing phone with NO FLAWS!!

I have been trying several phones and that i found with the U600 is that it is quite stable and reliable compared to others..
That's all what i need..

Can anyone please tell me how to get the al;arm to work whilst in silent mode. On my other Samsung phones, it just worked automatically.

COOL Design!!! two thumbs up!!! but the feature..hmmm well standard but i believe that sumsung do have the best technology for the screen!! no 3G, No Wifi soo it will be a so so phone. scale 1 - 10 i would give proudly a 7,5!

just press the number sign at the lower right hand corner of the keypad. this will put the phone in silent/vibrate mode. depressing it again will bring it to the normal phone setting you had before.

usually for samsungs with flash capability, holding down the volume button for a second or two will turn on the flash to use as a light. pushing the volume button again will turn it off.

Silent mode? Just hold # . Look at the button.

hold down the hash button for one second and you should be able to see the profile change to silent

to stacey,
when you are connecting to other devices (i.e cellphones or computer etc.), you have to put a password for security sake, after that, when connected to the previous selected devices, you must select option and then select "authorized device". In this way when connected again to previous bluetooth devices, you do not have to enter a pin.

currently have one of these. had it for about 2 months and maybe going to change into a nokia 8800 sirocco or 8600 luna. this phone is nothing special. its just a common samsung like all the others. i am looking to find a classy phone that is not as common as this one.

Hi All,
I would be pleased if i can get an answer for how to use the camera flash as a torch or lamp..
On the samsung D900,you could get an options whether the lamp can be permanent or not but here,nothing..
Can anyone help me please??..thx!!

Dear User,
Set your silent mode in sound settings either to vibrate or completely silent without any vibration. Then to switch it to silent mode, just keep your hand press on the button # on your keypad..it will change to silent mode depending on your settings above..

I got my U600 today... I just have a few questions, if someone can please give me some answers.
I have tried changing the clock, but I cannot manage to do it... when You go into the menu, it will not let me choose another clock.
And then secondly... does it have slider tones and on/off tones?? (I know its not very important, but I liked it on my E900).
