I'm Samsung user and Samsung mobilphones are for me the best in the world. I had 10-20 Samsung for example 2100, 2400, A100, D500, D600, D900 and now U600. Important for my statments: I used also Nokia N80, Nokia 8210 (this one was good like Samsung), SE T28, T29, T68, T600 (newer models are not more so good)
U600 is much better than D900 because a lot of Samsung cannot zoom and scroll the photos from microSD card or downloaded pics. That's really bad of Samsung.
U600 and E900 can do it.
There are 2 parallel R&D by Samsung and 2 diferent software.
U600 is very very nice phone...thin ellegant good quality, very good sound by talking and loud by ringing (better than D900). Battery lasts 2-4 days and it is depends of how much you use your U600.
I trial to use Nokia, SonyEricsson, really trial but if you once accept, really accept Samsung you never choose other company. Nokia with design is zero and series40 or 60 is to complicate, SonyEr. is for me much better because of themes but weakness od SE are loudspeaker..it is to weak (K700, K750, K800 I trial to have one. Also TFT 1,8 or 2,0 maximun inch..not enough good :))...U600 is most beautyfull design, so elegant and trust me 99% girls want to have one Samsung.
Samsung have picsel viewer for doc, xls, ppt and adobe pdf in non-smartphone case. With this funcionallity you can also use Samsung for bussines. U600 faster viewer than D900. U600 is much userfriendly than D900 or D600 and I can say that I loved D500, D600 and D900 but now U600 is for next 1-2 Years Lord of the Rings :))
For not-samsung fans: Buy ellegant, beautyfull and simple Samsung and try keep 1-2 months and you never more buy Nokia, SE or somthing else.

If you think this is a good phone then you are truly clueless. This has got to be the worlds slowest cell. I read this previously before buying. But all the positive reviews made me want to buy it anyway. And now I can say, I wish some of you clowns never posted any reviews. This phone sucks big time. The battery barely lasts a day with minimal use. Sending texts requires too many buttons. Reading anything off the memory card requires a lot of patience. SSSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!!!! The camera is virtually useless in real time conditions. Did I mention how slow it is???????????????!!!!!!!!!????

Also just received my first text but cannot reply back, the callers name comes up in texting box, i type message then options to send it etc ...it just says Incorrect address but how can it be if I am replying to a text of a stored contact? Also the type always defaults to numbers, is there a way of saving abc etc? Many thanks

played with this fone and didnt like the keypad, was very hard to get used to txting, however i kept with it, and now i totally love it, one of the best fones i ever had, the volume is good, it feels good in your hand, the touch keys take a bit of getting used to, but once you do, its great, the camera is very slow, but more than makes up for it with picture quality, all in all this fone has grew on me, and now i have to say im converted!! the more i use it the better it gets and now i totally love it

I have this phone since may and it;s very good slim size, good camera, also very good softwer which iam very suprise cause untill this phone i belive that nokia had the best softwer but u 600 had change my opinion. The bad thing for this phone is that the battery is very wick and 1 day with normal useing is max. that it can be used and the other not so imprtant is that the price now is very low, for this kind of telphone with this options. All the best.

As I previously said, it's great...and no matter what others say, it is user friendly. Read the manual, and all will get easier. I allready personalised it with dozens of cool NFL wallpapers, tons of mp3s, and some java games. The menu is easy to use. While the battery is not doing so great, the phone itself, it's just wonderful.The best I had so far, and I had motorola and nokia before.

i bought a sapphire blue edition and the copper gold edition.
im satisfied with the cam/features/performance wish the speaker volume would be a lil bit louder like the one's from SE.
batt life is not recommended. obviously slim type phones have such disadvantages.
all i can say is that..before u complain..read the manual.
hopefully they could release themes and java games.

This the worst mobile phone I've ever used.
Yes looks very very hot. I aint deny that. Feels so good to shut it after the call. But if its a mobile phone, it should user friendly either..
Menu sucks, speed sucks.. Buttons dont works when you make a little more pressure that you should, sometimes they just dont get anything for 3-4 secs..
Dont know what can I say positive about "using" this phone..
Current complicated Samsung users may like it indeed.

I think it's a great phone...I just got one, it works great, the camera is excellent, and I use it on WAP, and it is just fine...
One problem...can anyone help me finding some free java games on wap sites? So far I couldn't find, and I would love some...thanks!
P.S. the battery is the only weakness of this phone...

HEy gs i think you got a fake one. Mine one is really cool and fast.And way fast than nokia .And the 1st and 2nd problems of your are can not be considered as problems.So all the guys go for this sexy baby. It will definately improve your personality.

Hey ive used this phone barely 3 days now and i must say i have serious conta opinions.
Firstly, its really slow!
secondly, the basic features are not there!Like for example, you get a text message from a friend whose number you have not saved. It doesnt give you a direct option to save that number. Instead you have to manually do it which i think is a pain!
Thirdly, You cannot see details of your sent messages (time, date etc.!)
Fourthly, the battery is terrible! (i charged my phone all night and within ten hours of usage (standby) the battery is dead and please note my talktime in these 10 hours was only 10 minutes!!)
Fifth, it keeps losing network and then i need to switch off and re insert SIM card to get network (a problem which i have never encountered on any other phone).
So unless someone has a supporting response to the above, i would not recommend this phone.

Featurs: 7/10
Performance: 2/10
