Fantastic Phone! The only massive disadvantage, i think its all the higher end S phones is that the ringtone is ASCENDING, which is very gay. Otherwise, excellent reception, great camera, very sleek and smooth phone. GJ samsung.

I have just discovered if you press and hold the camera button when taking pictures - it is a lot faster.

This is a cute phone by all intensive purposes. But I would never recommend this phone to anyone. Why has no one mentioned how slow the phone operates especially reading any file from the memory card. It is just too much for me to take. I have never seen anything like this. I thought my phone was broken. Yes it is that slow!!!

Mandy - had the same problems at first with the video/camcorder settings but managed to sort them out. Heres what you do. Turn on your camcorder and where you have the settings for size, flash etc, go to recording mode and change from "limit for multimedia message" to "for full memory",
This will now allow you to change the settings. I recommend size 320 x 240. Quality - fine or super fine. The white balance should also be changed to take affect of the lighting conditions. Once you have done all this I am sure you will change your mind.
p.s there is not much space to save any videos if you do not have a memory card however if you have a downloaded video already saved on the phone i.e my phone came with a samsung fun club one - i suggest you delete this to make more memory space.

Had this phone for three months now, well, had two U600's in three months because the first one's soft keys stopped working and then the phone stopped working altogether. Had a replacement and so far so good. Apart from my miss-hap with the first i am very impressed.
First time using a samsung and was very reluctant to change from SE.
My good points...
Soft keys are surprisingly good, not like the E900. Not too sensitive, very easy to use.
Love the screen quality, very clear and big screen.
Once you get used to texting you realise it's very easy, much like SE texting.
Sound quality very good, very clear and loud.
Navigating through the phone is very quick.
Picture quality on camera is very good.
My bad points...
Video quality is surpiringly very poor and for some reason i cannot change the settings.
Takes ages for the camera to take a picture, never get the picture at the right moment.
When on speakerphone, its confusing when trying to end call.
Not able to have vibrate and tone on message tones.
Feels a bit flimsy, i get very paranoid about breaking it, especially on an 18 month contract!

i got the u600, it seems everyone with the soft keys are having the same issue!!!
i personally have now got used to them being there apart from the times it automatically rings someone when the phone is open...
but, is there any way of changin the options there? i know allot of people have asked, and mybe there isnt, but, no one can see the answers, so maybe there is!

Just got a U600 yesterday, but for perculiar reason, after a miss call from a number, if the same number calls again, they get a busy tone constantly, has happened with a few calls. But then calls from same network dont have that problem. But do not think is a network problem as when I put on the sim in another phone this problem does not exist. So weird, anyone come across this?

I just bought it and found that the battery needs to be charged after using it for one and a half day....mainly on phonecalls, which were not as long as 3.5 hours for sure. I turned it off at night too and rarely used any other functions during these days. Any advice?

For all those who have doubt whether to buy this mobile or not here is my advice.
Many persons get my mobile to see as soon as they see it. They said " its really stylish, slim & weightless".
People who are using SE 750i,SE W830, Nokia N73 impressed with my mobile as soon as they see my screen resolution and hw easy ti use it. They find my phone U600 is better in camera clarity.
Of course there are some drawbacks. Slow text messaging, Camera is slow when taking pictures.But overall its the best phone i have used.In sound clarity is very good but not loud.
U700 vs U600 surely U700 will have better feature but that additional feature is not use for me. U600 is worth for less peny. Amazing model.

i've tried the copying all numbers from sim to phone and the messages still dont appear with contact names.
Is there a way to make it so that all your messages from contacts appear with their name as it is confusing when you dnt knw who sent what.
