You can use the volume button on the side to silence the call. Under preferences, you can choose wether holding the down button will silence or reject the call.
As for the alarm, yes, there is a snooze function.
Samsung website says nothing of vivid text on the U700 (as it does under U600) but it says the phone has uGo and uTrack.
Yes, you can use mp3's as ringtones, but not as mms/sms sound (standard tunes and downloaded poly/mono tunes only)
Good looking phone, made of great materials - does NOT look cheap.

Please advise if you are able to silent a call after it has rang? for example the Nokia has a button you press "slince"... therefore the caller won't know the call was in fact rejected, just "silently" missed...
Also, are you able to "snooze" the alarm?

it will hold 1000 songs sam as a 4GB ipod. And the sound is great

lol touch screen, heat sensitive... basically the same. when you're done with a call, you slide the phone close to end it. or you can unlock the buttons by pushing a button, then pushing the end call button (the unlock button for my e840 is the central button of the directional pad). u600 has 4 touch screen buttons, u700 has 6, both phones' keypads are regular buttons.

Neither the U600 nor the U700 have "touch screen" buttons. They have heat-sensitive touch pads. And from what I can see, the only difference between the U600 and U700 (apart from the 100 pounds price difference) is the fact that the U700 is 3G
