Does anyone one if this phone has vividd text? Also does the screen go cloudy and light depending on the service, like the Samsung U 600?

Hang on - if the touch-buttons lock - how do you hang-up then? o_O Dpes that mean you can only make one phone call until your credit runs out? lol

it is exact the same as the u600 infact it is heavier. this phone is bollucks and i do not recommend it because u600 is cheaper.

touch screen buttons on a phone arent bad at all... they work fine on my samsung e840. the buttons lock when you're on a call anyways, so your cheek cant accidentally hit a button.

Touch-screen buttons on a phone? That's just stupid. "oops! Sorry about accidentally hanging up on you but the hang-up button touched my cheek..." Lame. Save it for the iPhone and people with too much money.

omg....there are six touch buttons even in new model version : 2 visible and four are backlight when you slide down :

No, you are wrong. Any photo with backlight will show you that there are 4 buttons which you cannot see currently.

u700, what a great handset. the battery life is fantastic and the overall build quality is outstanding. most probably the best handset on the market to date.

Why do people keep saying it has 2 touch buttons?? There are 6 touch buttons on the front slider!!

It has only 2 touch butons on the front slider. However I intend to re-wire the thing and turn them into normal buttons. Worse omes to worse i'll just get the D900i

Can you get anywhere other than vodafone?, ie: without the VF software on it. VF software always seems slow and rubbish. Any user opinions on the VF software for the U700?

The U700 definately has "touch screen" buttons, so far I've accidentally terminated a download by casting a shadow over the screen and yet when I try to hang up a call it will not respond.
