Do the phones U600 and U700 have so called touch screen buttons?

Can anyone tell me how to use mp3 files as alarm tones? They are there in my files under "sounds and ringtones" but when I try to install them as alarm sounds they don't show up in the file, only the ones that were in there when I bought it and all sounding tinny and not something I want to wake up to. It may sound silly but this is of major importance to me in a handset, I sleep between 2 addresses and have to set my alarms a week ahead due to my shifts so an alarm clock is out of the question unless I can programme it and carry it around with me.

Hi there,
Can someone please tell me how to put mp3 music onto this phone. I have copied the software that comes with the disk, but it keeps telling me that this software is not supported. I have the current version of 3.1.

I think the U700 Vodafone software looks terrible - it looks like Legoland - they've corrupted a decent phone

The u700 is an absolute fashion accessory! And it has great features too! If u wanna be original, get this phone! Coz most people are going for the nokia n95!.....

yeah I would like to know the performance on battery as well. I have the u600 and Im not satisfied witht the battery life. If the battery life on this phone is exceptional, I might get this one and sell my u600.

People - the pic on the left if WRONG. Click on it and you'll see an updated version. As you can see - it physically only has 2 buttons on the front slider with the ipod wheel in-between.

it does actually have 6 touch sensitive buttons on the slider

it has 2, not 6 touch-sensitive buttons - the pic on the left is wrong. There are only 2 buttons on the front slider.

The difference is i think is that the U600 has an FM radio and is slimmer while the U700 has 3g and is chunkier and does not have an FM radio

Whats the difference between this and the U600? Apart from the fact you can only get this one on Vodafone?

there is 6 touch sensitive buttons and a jog wheel on the slide

Just confirmed - the 2 buttons on the front slider are touch-sensitive. Thankfully it only has 2 of these crap buttons and the rest is normal. I hate touch-sensitive buttons! :(
