worst phone
mine went to the shop 5 times and now i need to pick another one. are all samsungs this unreliable? but it looks amazing.. if only it were any good

i had it 4 5 days inside screen craked got it fixed n da touch butons wer crazy wen i got it back n den it went inta da wash n i got the hairdrier n didn work so i snaped it in half! never had as much joy wen i done it! neva buy dis fone! i heard of sum1 gettin sand in it and it codnt b fixed!

the absolute worst fone i have ever had !the touch screen dosent work and its practically a new fone , only about 6months old , it screen keeps changing and goes blank most of the time the sound sux , then again samsum cant make a fone with gud sound ...!!! dont ever BUY this fone !!! it will give you way to much trouble , and its a pain in the a** !!!!

well i have this phone since january this year n all i can say is...this phone is a hot mess...it looks like its 3 years old,even tho i took real good care of it...it just peeled off,battery dies quick,it just goes off sometimes n so on...now i decided 4 a sidekick 2008,hopefully i'll b more happier with it...

The model is good, but battery has gone within 3 months. and the ringer volume is also not so audible in noisy areas.

Think this phone is about the worst on the market. Mine has been sent into samsung twice... lets see if it will work now. LCD gives you trouble, touch screen dies, coating chips... think samsung sould take it off the market... cause they all faulty...

Mine is just 3months in proper handling and its really peeling off in such an ugly way. And as if thats not bad enough, it has aquired a new disease and am shocked it just chooses to go off the way it wants. its a real disappointment to me considering that ive been a loyal customer to samsung.

I had the same problem with mine and I did reset the phone hoping it would work but it didn't. I'm sorry we've wasted our money on this phone but it's not worth buying. It also has coating problems.

first 9 months it was very good... But now i am facing lot of problems. Network problem, coating prob. I would not recommend this mobile.

Mine is also peeling off... The store says its bad handling... i always keep it in a pouch specificaly for it!!! Waiting for Samsung Portugal. Im demanding a black cover!!!

right. i had mine since last nov and it's what, sept now. okay. and i've sent it for repair for countless times already.mine's the black colour one so yup, no problems with the looks itself but yup, it keeps lagging and lagging and it HANGS. ohmygod i know. and then the screen will go all funny sometimes. the last time it soilt i had totally no sound at all and the screen blacked out. it switches on, yep, but there were no graphics. right. so yup, this is one phone nobody should buy i guess (: looking at F700 now though (x

I've had my U700 now for a year. The paint peeled off and twice Samsung replaced the cover free of charge. Seeing that the 1 year guarantee is over I doubt if they will continue doing it. I'm getting my new U900 Soul soon and can't wait. The U700 gave me endless fun and I never had a software upgrade, and believe me, I use it very well to its full potential. Still think it is a great phone. This is my 5th Samsung, will never again change to another brand.

Bad
I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed with this phone. I've had for nine months... the paint peeling off was one thing but then the phone started to get slow and now the ear piece doesn't work so people can hear me but I can't hear people.
Another problem is when the phone is used for long period either talking or 3G the battery gets pretty hot.
Conclusion
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I think Samsung does have better models out there but this is a truly disappointing one.

i've just changed to the black cover after 2 times changing the chrome finish. works fine so far. no more peel offs

They say never judge a book by its cover.Its unfortunate i have come to realize that statement is true through the U700. Dont be fooled by its slick look.That phone is a time bomb waiting to explode its only a matter of time.The phone has been disintegrating on me the past week.Now the screen is completely blank and its got in volume.I agree with Brenda.
