i have this phone and it's gr8! u just have to get used to the touch sensitive keys! it looks soo stylish and it has cool features!! i luv it!!

I have had the U700 now for about 5 months - the sensitivity buttons have big problems and are a pain in the B*m, every time you type a SMS or other function it keeps changing to different menu (as your fingers touch the pad accidently)when you do not want to. now finally top section of the phone not working anymore, it appears the ribbon connection between the top slide and the bottom slide is damaged - so bad I can not get any of my info off the phone which is in memory. DO NOT BUY ANY PHONES WITH TOUCH BUTTON! you will regret it. I paid a fortune for this phone, no game nothing and now this! I am going back to Nokia Good bye Samsung you lost me as a customer

can anyone help me. i hav dis u700 phone for lyk 6months now. its a very nyc phone love everythng bout it. my only prob. is that the sensitivity of the touch control answer key and cancel key. its not that sensitive lyk the other keys, it doesnt recognize my touch. i read my manual and it says their that the phone has a setting wer u can adjust the sensitivity, i opend everythng but stil cant find it. anyone pls help me. thanks. :-)

This phone is absolutely rubbish. I owned previous Samsung phones and they are ok. But not this particular model. Avoid it like Plaque. It broke - all words went into reverse image! Of course, their service centre had to totally replace a new one for me. And only after second repair....
Absolutely worse phone I have tried - I sued SE, Nokia, HTC, even Siemen. But this is really the worse - the U700. But having said that, an old Samdung Phone I used SGH-600 I think - some years ago - is pretty ok. But I think it is bec then Samsung uses Nokia OS - the Symbian.

Compared with my other units. This phone is much cool, aside from its cheaper in price it looks classy. Though it doesn't have WLAN compared to my other phone, when it comes to 3G network it picks up much better.someone posted no radio? what's the use? i could download all the songs I want with 2 gig memory. Horray to this phone.

To all those wondering if to buy this phone, I would give a resounding yes. Got it over a month now and in total disagreement with most of the negative comments posted. It is a little sensitive but nothing not worth getting use to in comparison to all the great features. Picture quality is great and sound is excellent.... all those that disagree should buy a boom box instead of a phone!!!! It is a beautiful looking phone and EVERYONE that sees it admires it. Great phone and samsung is still THE BEST!!

java apps downloaded do not show "permissions" for the u700...have installed opera mini...but since there are no permissions, the pop up menu keeps popping up for yes/no queries...also, the micro sd card is not recognized as a removable drive via usb...
anyways...

mlami, 27 Aug 2008hi i am thinking of buying this phone this weekend but afte... moreThats true the sound quality is good maybe them they bought theirs from fake dealers or second hand people cause i have had mine for one year and 6 months and i love it so much infact i find the one touch key amazing its classic and so colourfull but you guys should desighn a pink one or the cover case should be replacable so that when it starts wearing out you can replace it like Nokia. Congrats Sumsung i love your phones

hi i am thinking of buying this phone this weekend but after i have read all these comments am getting scared but i have a frien who has had his for 6 months and he seems to like it never had him complaining. i guess its just a sensitive phone that should be handled with care please so all the impolite complains are just destroying its market.
and lastly its sound quality i great.
