I have had the u700 for about 12 months now. Even though it looks all nice & fancy & fashionable, after about 3 months all the paint work starts chipping away, the touch screen buttons stop working and my speakers have broke twice now which menas that i couldnt ring anyone or listen too music. Also the phones memory is really bad as well. Overall this phone is crap and i would advice people not too waste their money on it.

I have had this phone for approx 1 month and absolutely love it. I have always liked Samsung phones and this one is the best. I am upgrading shortly to the U900 and am hoping that it will be as good if not better. I have had no problems at all with the Samsung U700. Very happy.

Sean, 03 Jul 2008uhhh... everyone seems to be complaining about the over sen... moreSean, where is this setting? I can't find it. You must have upgraded software to mine. Same for keys locking while making a call, I have had the speaker phone on in the middle of a conversation countless times. Might make me deaf one day.. Have the same problems with peeling of the crappy silver at the side and the screen scratching. This is a crappy phone, stick to Nokia.

same problem here witjh the over heating
i put it in the fridge before i wanna use it these days
and this is after fixing it
its total crap
are all samsungs this bad?

here's my problem i have to turn off my phone when i slide it down! coz' when i slide it down can only see a blach and sometimes the background is fading what should i do?! PLS HELP.

I had this phone for the last 8 months max
and it is terrible.
First it peels off after 3 months and then the touch screen is starting to give in, my phone doesnt even go on any more,none of the buttons on the touch screen is working anymore. i wouldnt suggest this phone to anyone.

Mobile U700 is the best i have it and it is absolutely fashion mobile and great for me

The silver plate is starting to peal after 3 months of careful usage. Please, take care. A cover might be recommended.

I want to add e-mail addresses to my contacts but when I enter it and want to safe it, I get an error "incorrect address" and then it does not save the e-mail address. Is there a specific format to enter the address?

uhhh... everyone seems to be complaining about the over sensitive touch keys... if you guys STILL havent found it. theres a touch sensitivity setting under phone settings o.o but realli there is no over sensitive feel to it. people are just complaining because its close to the center wheel. >.> and when yur talking? theres no issue of yur face touching a key >.> it locks it automatically so i have no clue what some of these people are talking about.
