I just got mine about a month ago in the philippines. They DEFINITELY still have a peeling problem as mine has already started and I have taken very good care of it.
for ending calls by touching your face, you can have the touch keys disabled while talking and then just close it to end the call. works fine for me.
still wish I had gotten a different phone though. the touch buttons are fidgety. sometimes work too good, other times not at all.

the sound is too soft and i m juz bought it for 1 mth but the speaker sound oledi crack. Somebody please tell me whether can repair the speaker or not

When I first got this phone, i fell in love with it! Its so slim, looks great and took great photos. But now, 2 months down the line, I have completely changed my opinion! Besides the fact it is feel and looks like a piece of crap (yes, im in africa), the phone keeps freezing. I also find it really hard to use the touch screen and I end up nearly video calling people all the time. Also, the ringing is way too low so I ALWAYS miss my calls. Im trying to exchange as I type...

this mob is really superb but i prefer u900 soul with 6megapixel;wow....thats coool

For those from the Philippines, the Samsung dealership in Robinson's Galleria offered to replace the peeling cover with a new, more durable one for free. They said the problem is inherent in the earlier batches of silver models. I'm sure the other dealerships nationwide would offer the same.

This ph U 700 has to be totally crap ring tones are so soft I can't even hear it ring & as for the unlock well pressing it 3-4 time is a joke.
I have the upgraded black ph, any one know a site where u can get upgrades for ringtone volume for this ph.

peeling is a common problem i have alot of customers in australia bringing em back to my store the phone it self back it is bcoz i belive samsung use either cheap paint or the plastic doesnt hold the paint itself and the reason alot of it would be happening in africa would be that the weather there is event hotter then here!

I got the info from a samsung dealer whe i went to buy the phone so any Q i have the ansers you need i have been useing the phone for about a month and it rocks i dont know what you gus as moaning about the pc conecting prob you have to install the softwear before you connect the phone

ive been using this phone for only less than 3 months and i already have a big problem! the phone doesn't allow me to receive incoming calls or making outgoing calls even though there is full signal. it happens every day almost the whole day and it really frustrates me. can anybody tell me what's going on?? how can i solve this??

My computer doesn't specify Windows XP although im using Windows XP. It only specifies windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and NT.

If your using XP the CD should work fine.. u need not to explore the CD anymore..

Very disapointing, have it only a few months and the part that slides up and work from touching won't work. And the silver comes of sides. I'm sending it back to the supplier.
