Hi, Pls can someone help.. I've had my U700 for a few weeks - I want to know the following:
1) is there a way that the internet icon can be removed from the touchscreen? (I keep connecting accidently!)
2) someone mentioned that one can change the setting so that touch-screen is not activated during a call - how do I do that?
3) when ended a call, I have to slide the phone closed - is there a setting to enable me to end the call by pressing the "end call" button instead of closing the phone?
I'd appreciate your help
Thanks,

@ jr
after gmasking my u700, its just the same feeling. the touchscreen is not affected.
and yes, you can create folders, and the folders for images and videos are separated, just like SE
you can even lock the main file folder and messages.

@ janjalani
At last someone heard my call here...
Thanks...
Im hesitant to get the GMASK thing, doesn't it affect how the phone feels while you're holding it?
And about the gallery, im currently owning a N70, and the gallery really is crap. Pics and videos are cramped down together. There's no way to organize them. How is the gallery of U700? Can u organize the pics by folders?
By the way, what color did you get and where did you get it? Im having trouble looking for a Samsung store.
THanks again. You're a big help! =)

by the way, you have an option to lock the picture so you wont accidentally delete a precious pic. though the folders have no option to be locked

@JR
1. gmask it
2. i can't answer you coz i haven't filled my memory card yet
3. the pics are organized like a moto, listed not grid like SE
i've already asked samsung re: housing change, they said it depends on how the housing was damaged or colors peeled. i told them i have acidic sweaty hands, not covered daw :(
well, gmask it once you bought one. i used transparent film

I need your opinion guys, (lalo na sa mga pinoy)
Im planning to switch from my N70-ME to this phone. Is it ok?
I have a few issues i want to clarify:
1) Is there any solution to the peeling off issue?
2) How is its speed when you fill up its memory card?
3) How are the pics and videos organized?
For Pinoy owners:
If I buy from a store that offers 1 year parts and service warranty (like semicon, or samsung store) does that include changing the housing in case it starts to peel off?
Thanks so much!

Hi I got this phone after upgrading from a N70. Still new to Samsung but find it very impressive. Only problem or if someone can help is the calendar doesn't show in idle mode if there is appointments for the day or next day, you physically have to go in look in the calendar. Otherwise so far so good....

@gorvs
sad to hear about your phone but you only need to set your phone settings, the touch pad should not be activated while on call, mine is lock when on call. i don't have issues regarding bluetooth, it connects with all my gadgets. the photos, well, i don't store a lot of photos coz i transfer my photos to my laptop via bluetooth.

I've just traded in my U700 for a Nokia! I found this model with the touchscreen bit REALLY annoying. Every time I spoke to someone I was cutting them off when the phone touched my face. I had lots of trouble connecting it to bluetooth and had to switch the phone off every time I did. Also the photo gallery with my photos in took an absolute AGE to load. My opinion - don't do touch screen!
