It says in the specs that this phone has a front facing camera but as far as I know, it doesnt have it. Can anyone confirm this?

Is there a way to increase the 3G frequencies a phone supports using an app or something?
I noticed that Captivate has more 3G band support than Vibrant.
I'm planning to buy an unlocked phone and use it on either Tmobile or AT&T.

I really wish Samsung hadn't tried so hard too imitate the iPhone on this. I hate the UI and wish they'd just let us opt to use the stock Android UI. Other than that the phone is amazingly light and the speed... WOW!!!!

This phone is SUPER'. The only problem I find is flash for one and the battery life is just a little short, but other from dat this phone will ouydoo da IPHONE.

I just got this phone a few days ago and so far I can't put it down.So far I see no problems on this phone beside it needing a flash for the camera but other than that I am 110% pleased with this phone.I highly advise people to consider getting this phone.

Samsung said that TFT will never catch up with Super AMOLED. Yes, after years of research you see no large OLED display yet. In the meantime TFT won all market: small and large and very large displays kicking out inclusive Plasma from the last niche: very large displays. Actually the funds for the research in OLE comes from selling TFT TV sets. Now it remains if OLED will get a chance. So far all OLED screens offer just an over saturated pixelated image: AMOLED needs space among sub red, blue and green pixels to isolate them with a black pitch; otherwise the light floods in the adjacent sub pixels by light diffusion because all sub pixels light by themselves in all directions. That black dye separator among sub pixels is visible and that is why the pixels look visible on OLED. For TFT the light comes vertically from backlit on sub pixel cells which are LCD filters and turn on or off on whole sub pixel area and the whole area occupied by red or blue or green sub pixels blocks the diffusion in the adjacent sub pixels thus TFT afford to have very close sub pixels and high density. In Super AMOLED technology the black separators among red, blue and green will never allow pixels to be very next one to another so that to create uniformity and sharpness at close look. Hence actually Super AMOLED will never catch up to TFT. OLED as Plasma are good for a distant watch.

Everything on this phone is AWESOME. You must be some Apple fanatic because i notice your speaking about real things. I can give you a long list of problems with the iphone 4th generation. My cousin works for the Apple store. He is getting the Captivate since he has AT&T. Remember that Samsung makes the flash memory and processor for Apple.

The text is the most important for business class displays and Super AMOLED is not for text it is for games. Right iPhone should have taken Super AMOLED and let for Android the IPS TFT so that iPhone to be fully for gamers and Android on Samsung for businessmen and intellectuals and I'm really sorry that it did not happen so.

Fonts? ive never in life cared about fonts. I care the sharpness of the screen the colors. Plus the over all experience of the phone. and Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant is a real contender to the iphone 4. I like Apple products. And the Iphone concept. But we sat side by side and we both agreed the Galaxy's screen just gets the WOW factor. EVerything POPS!. its smooth and looks classy. Even AT&T knows it. Thats why there getting the Samsung Captivate. which is the same as the Vibrant specs wise. People are upset with Apple. All Apple has to do is Apologize to there loyal customers and people forgive. then find a remedy to fix the problems it has besides the reception issues.

This is a REAL fact found by many reviewers from Now York City and Philadelphia. Check online and see: all agree that as technology Super AMOLED doesn't provide as sharp fonts as TFT due to PenTile compromise and spaces among pixels.

He had to take his iPhone4 back because his proximity sensor would not do what it was intended to do. We compared both phones and The Vibrant does not have fuzzy screen on texts. That is so Minuit. Speak about facts and Specs. Im not saying Apple makes bad phones. But i really think they rushed the production on a phone that if they would have took a little more time would have took the market by storm again. But Apple employees are already speaking about Apple having to recall them. PLus the higher resolution on the Apple screen is due to the fact that they can since they are only a 3.5 inch screen. Where as the VIBRANT is a 4 inch Super Amoled. I like Bigger screens with this Super Amoled technology. The colors just POP. remember that Apple was going to go with Amoled but Apple said that Samsung could not meet the demands of Apple. WHich is not true. Its just that Samsung was smart enough to focus more on there new lines of Galaxy S line phones. iTs business. You have to sharp in this world or be eating by sharks.
