seems like most of u never get it nor understood its spec huh? never read the X200's manual guide book is it? X200's IR is meant for phonebook transfer and that's all. If u wanna transfer the data, 1 of the post mentioned its data cable "CB093LBE" something like that. For any other stuffs, browse samsungmobile.com for more informations...tat's wat their site for!Email their service operator and they'll get back to ur Qs. Cheers and have a nice day

hey guys.I got my x200 yesterday and I'm really happy with it. I'm very keen on mobile phones, but to tell you the truth, I don't find the utility in having a camera so on and so forth. Maybe I'm a bit disappointed by the FM radio absence, but I saw they have the X210 model which I will surely buy when it will be available in Romania. ALl in all, it's a great phone if you know what a phone should do: calls, text and mms.
      Buy it!

          hi prakash,

sorry to hear bout ur IrDA issue but for ur information, X200's IrDA is only built for transfering Phonebook and nothing else. To do data transfer,i've been advice from samsungmobile.com to use the cable model CB093LBE. And honestly, before i even tried tat out, i already sold my X200. Good luck and wish u the best.

          cheers,
          Henry

yo Kuddus, strongly agreed with u! the X200's IrDA is seriously damn useless. and yeah, its Melody+Vibrate also kinda weird too. *sorry, no offence to Samsung's users*
That's wat causing me to trade off this phone n back to S.E again :S

overall i have to agreed & admit it's a good simple phone. perfect for just make/receiving calls,SMS & MMS, that's all.

i found the set good.. but the system of so called 'infrared' is utterly disappointing.. it's only 4 transferring phone book datas only which is pathetic...
another problem that i found there is... when u set your 'alert type' to 'vibration+melody'.. as per the system the fone vibrates 3rice and then start ringing... this is sooooooo irritating...

                    Hi
I can't read one more time about problems with IRDA. It is clearly sad in your guide books that between 2 phones through irda you can only send inforamtion from telephone book. With computer it will function propably but you have to use samsung software.

I did post on X300 that the IRda port on the phone is only for the PC to detect it as a data modem. Cannot use it to transfer files.
Sad but true, it is stated on the box of X300. I think it's the same for X200.

i have just bought my x200 yesterday and i found out that the unit could not receive any images or other data from other phone thru IrDA. i went back to that shop and he told me that i will only recieve data from PC so to pacify myself i bought an infrared device, and to my disappointment, the unit still could not receive from PC. Please advise of wht to do, thank you.

Nice small clamshell phone.Does what i need and more. One gripe is the crappy annoying ringtones. You'd think they would give you a standard ring ringtone. Bought in Australia for $80.

well, its pretty cool, nice and small, the thing is, unlikley i dont bother the fail of the irda or the battery..my only concern is the large font used to type new numbers!!! its so huge with a very traditional font face!!!

and second the delay during scrolling the phone book! i always dial the wrong number in the end..anyways, rather than that its pretty cool, and the price is fair for a good looking talking machine, get one if u only care for talking ;)
