Everytime I put my phone in my pocket, it takes pictures (lots of them), causing the battery to run out very quickly. Is there any way to lock this feature?

The Z500 wouldn't be availabe in China yet as there is no 3G network in China, maybe some of the parallel importers may have them.

i saw this phone in singapore and fell in love with it and i planned to buy it on my arrival in china but i have been to all the phone market in there but all my efforts prove abbortive.
ilove this phone but not available in the chinese market.

Hi - I have the phone and am 99% hapy with it - I was also experiencing the short battery life however I discuvered that if ou turn the front LCD screen off after use it will last a whole day longer!! It suprised me as aswell

The z500 is an ideal phone for the younger generation, itsgreat the only thing is that you cannot have a custom message alert tone! lol and can anyone tell me if their cable for the pc is playing up too please! If not i want a new 1

If your really wanna get techincal call 350 free off ya orange handset. They are experts, i know due to the fact i work for orange, and worked in 3G myself.

I've got a couple of questions really, i like the phone but after having a nokia i'm finding it a bit confusing. There are 3 specific things i can't seem to do:
1, i'm on orange and it has it's own home screen, i want to have my own shortcuts - is that possible cos there's aren't my preference.
2, i've been sent a ringtone by a friend but can't seem to set it as a ringtone on my phone. It's saved itself in media album, sounds,ringtones& voice memos but doesn't offer me the optionof making it my ringtone.
3, i tried to get email but it said i wasn't java enabled? What!!
i don't want to be such a girl but i don't get it....
please someone share the knowledge!

Chloe.... Just download the mp3 files ( you can cut them with NERO WAVE EDITOR or other)... and then: settings - profiles - left key ( to acced to options of normal) - edit - then, click on "voice call ringtone" - now go left and right to change the folder, and up and down to change the file... and choose the file that you downloaded.....

Hi
Recently got my Samsung Z500.
I entered all my contact details including birthdays. Subsequent 2 of my contact's birthdays have passed. My phone did not pick up on the dates entered in the contacts details. Is this normal or do i need to enter birthdays elsewhere as birthdays is a rather important part of my job. Please advise.

I have had this phone now for 3 months, and its really annoying me, the battery dies in a matter of hours. Yes i do have to admit i enjoy having all of its great features at my fingertips, however this phone has been hyped up so much, and i feel it to be a let down, because the phone is constantly on charge. My brother has the W800i and it has many of the same features as the Z500, however the battery can survive alot longer than 1 day!

I have just got my Samsung z500 and was just wondering if anyone new how to get the shortcut buttons to work? i have assigned which icons i want to each of the four buttons but when i press them it doesn't bring up the icons. Also is there anyway of changing the colour of the menu icons cuz they are boring?

This phone is a complete waste of time. Came to work using bluetooth in the car, got to the office and I cann't make or receive phone calls. On Vodafone. Very fidly buttons,vodafone live takes ages to load and then cuts out. Dont get it.

In relation to the alarm problems, has anyone tried to go into "Settings", "Time & Date" and unchecked the the boxes next to "Summer Time and "Auto Update"?
My alarm seems to work fine every time since I got the phone with my old firmware and the new firmware i uploaded...
