Can anyone confirm whether or not there is a dedicated bluetooth car kit available for this model? There is one for the E720 on Samsung's website.

Thanks

Where can I buy a new battery? Could you please put up a URL? I was looking yesterday and I couldn't locate one.

battery issues - get it replaced! same happened with my d500.

Haven't had any problems withh my battery life and can normally play mp3's upto 3 hours without effecting Battery power.
Wish it has a flash though!!

Also, does it have okay battery life when playing MP3's? I intend on putting a 256/512mb mircoSD card in it, and i will have a lot of music on it, and will be playing music throughout the day.

just want to make sure that the battery won't be flat after about 3hours.

Does this phone make any noises when you open/close (play sounds that is)?

Can these sounds be easily disabled? Also, whats the manufacturing quality like? I've never had a flipper, and I am told that they sometimes break at their hinge.

              Thanks.

I think so... You might get away with it if you group them. Unfortunately, unless there is a setting to change, you can only have contacts on one or the other, or have repeating contacts in the list

Do you mean that the contacts should be on the phone's memory as oposed to the sim card?

Firstly the contacts have gotta be on the phone, then you can go to images>options>set as>caller id. They may have to be set into contact groups

I've recently upgraded to a samsung Z500 and am at a loss as to how to assign caller ID photos to contacts. The user guide suggests "special options", but I cannot see any! Could someone please help?

I too have problems with the battery... but not freezing. I'm assuming the battery problem is due to the fact its new, so its not been through the fully charged steps yet and I'm still playing with it. Plus theres the fact that GPRS and Bluetooth are constantly on, and I've got a Bluetooth headset, been downloading files yadiyaya

i have used the d500 with flash and now have the z500 without and to tell the truth I can't see much difference......it's a bonus having a camera on the phone and the pics should only be used as fun.... not going to give you the same quality as you would get with a proper camera..... :)

To everyone who has the phone ONLY! (so no phone owner dont reply)

-Does the missing flash make it difficult for some photographic suitations? Or the flash was left out for a reason like "its not needed"? Thanks

no, its also available on o2, but there is a vodafone exclusive all-black model, so if you see it as "vodafone exclusive" its just that its a different colour and different firmware

@Anyone thinking to buy this phone don't i use to have a nokia 6230 and i think that nokias are the best phones! people send me texts and they take about 25mins to come through!

It has nothing to do with my network phone o2 and they told me to turn it of and wipe my sim card then put it back togtether again! also to search for the network myself! I got perfect service with the nokia now i dont seem to! I dont know if this is a fault with o2, however i would not buy this phone! Was a bad choice and hoping that o2 will let me change it!

Not a good choice at all!

Thanks Jan and Dusty for your replies and advise. I have saved the settings but it doesn't seem to have worked. I'm just going to keep messing with it as I've already had to send one phone back due to the fact it wouldn't turn on! Surely I can't be that unlucky to get another dud one! It is a crackin phone in general.. it's just not working to great at the minute.

Do you think I maybe need to get one of the Transflash cards in order to be able to recoed videos for longer? Thanks.
