Hi,
Thinking of getting either this phone or sharp gx25, but cant decide which is better.does it have voice record and can you record your own realtones eg off radio etc??? is the camera good quality??

wee, I Will get one of this with 125€ (I don't know how much Dolars is, but its almoust the same) The mobile is excelent!

im looking to buy this phone i saw it in a diffrent store but this guy at another store said u can only get it in europe or asia is that true?

The outside screen show the missed calls, messages received, alarms, clock, date and the other usual stuff (battery, signal, etc).
But during standby, with the phone closed, it doesn't show anything, unless you open the phone, or press the camera button or press (longer time) the volume buttons.
If you keep the phone opened, both screens will turn off after 15, 30sec or 1 minute, or dim during 5, 15, 30sec or 1min.
When you close the phone, the outside screen will be on just for a few seconds.

Hello! Seems everyone likes the phone.
No doubt there is construction quality, and sound is good as well as capture. Alarm, agenda and phone book are great. The graphics in gaming are superb, wonderful experience from what's to come, you have to take the charger with you although.
The cons: You get fingerprints all over the phone.
When writing messages, you don't have the copy/cut/paste function, personally I find it usefull.
Eraser key (C) is right under the pad, you have to be carefull not to erase something important. Well, the phone isn't exactly designed for big fingers, specially the pad and the keys around it.
No matter the shell is open or closed, both screens are always on or off together, increasing battery consuming.
And most important (and this is unforgivable!): You can't manage your contacts, SMS's or MMS's using PC Studio!
You can however syncronise contacts, calendar, tasks and memos with Outlook, manage and view a great deal of Office files, sound, pics and movie files(even SWF's), and that's all.

Does de outside screen shows anything when the phone is on standby (clock, date, lost calls)? Does that just for some time (for instance, just after a call)? Or doesn´t show nothing at all until it´s open?

I am trying to use my mobile as a dial-up connection to the computer. I have added network connections selected the Samsung as my modem, however i cannot connect. Any ideas?! I rather use my minutes on the weekend to reach internet on dialup. I have Vodaphone Germany service. Ideas?! THanks!

To flash the phone you need qualcomm unlocker our samsung z winimei and the flash files. There is no samsung ZV10 original software (because it is vodafone exclusive) so you can use the z140 flash files because the phones are the same...

the only way to upload java games to a samsung phones is by gprs, vodafone have locked the way to install games by cable/bluetooth/infra-red. So you have to choices to upload games free (or at least cheaper), you can flash your phone (to the original samsung software) or you get a free server on the web and pay only the download costs by gprs (and don't pay the game to vodafone...)

Hi Bacchus. I'm from Portugal, and the software of my ZV10 is ZV10BUEJ5.
Anyway, the Vodafone Live menus are all working properly after taking it to Vodafone Techincal assistance.

hello i m also from Portugal and i bought this phone (it seems to be pretty cool :) but i tried to instal some games (java games) from my pc to the phone with the cable but the phone doesn t recognize the .jad extention of yhe file wich is the game.
i don t know if i have sometyhing special to be able to play !?!
i would be very gratefull if someone could help me !!!

SeaN, the photos are not too bad...they are VGA size and are fairly good quality. Not digital camera good but good enough. You do need to alter the compression setting to superfine though to get the best pic quality.

well, i am from portugal, and i have one. I have a question!! The LCD continues to show the clock and image or not when is in standbye? mine, when i close it, the LCD just shows the clock for 2 or 3 seconds.

Hi Roger, can you tell me what SW you are running on the ZV10 and what country you are based in? (to get SW key in *'#1234#). A reflash will deff fix any problems accessing live!
