Yes!, - well done JaMie your MP£ tip as a ,message tone works a treat. Before your tip I thought the only tone you could have for message and alarm was mmf - even Samsung Technical Support said that you could not have a mp3 as a message tone or alarm on this phone but you have even proved them wrong!
The only other way I was doing it was doing a new .THM file and using mp3 for the message tone but that was messy and time consuming but your way is much easier.

I have just had a text message from Vodafone NZ to bring my Samsung ZV10 in for a free software upgrade!! It seems that the new software will give better battery performance!!
Will send it in next week!!

hey JaMie, nah still thinking about the upgrade, might have to go into vodafone and jus suss out what the upgrade is all about - not too fussed about not having my fone for a couple of days either :)

battery life a major problem, but have it nearly sorted thanks to forum tips. BIG problem with bluetooth. phone wont upload contacts to Parrot handsfree kit, it treats kit as just a head set. Any fix appreciated

does anyone know how to like, hide the media player so that you can like, look at your messages or whatever and still have the song playing....

to make a mp3 song as your message tone or as your alarm tone, 1st go to settings, then go to phone settings, then assign ringtone... click on "message alert tone" then go down to special tone and press "options"... go down to change, then select sounds& ringtones..select a mmmf tone and again..push the options button and select "play".. use the left and right buttons to change the song..and when you find the song u wanna use choose select..

This is a real nice phone,but vodacom doesn't have gprs settings for it,and if I try to install other simmilar phone's setting on to this one,it asks for a pin, and 0000, 1111, 2222, 10, 12 doesn't work...How can I get my GPRS to work?

does anyone in NZ know about the free upgrade that vodafone are advertising for these phones? The phone has to be sent away to a mobile repair place and you could be without it for up to three days - has anyone done it? and if so, what benefits did they get from the upgrade? Cheers :)

the default password for the samsungs in general is either 000000 or 00000000.anymore queries,e-mail me

Hey paul. Get ur gprs settings and download the nokia 6230s mxit. Works great.

at last I can edit the SMS's using z studio 3.91 but I was trying to use the explorer thing in z studio and press on PC-Obex but it just keeps saying port is open even when I press the button 'close port' - any ideas?
