2 skater
you posted some info on flashing and said the flash chip just usually doesnt go dead unlesss the process was done incorrectly and carelessly. If the flash chip was bad, wouldn't the phone show it and wouldn't it have glitches before flashing. I am quite surprised by the lies www.easycell.ca has told me. They said my flash chip was bad before flashing, and that is why my phone is not working now. They have refused to compensate me in anyway for damaging my phone, which had no problems before I shipped it to them.

Hey Skater,
Just out of curiosity, is it troublesome to flash to EU firmware? I'm new to it, so all I read is about getting some kind of cable and download some patch.... O_o
Cheers :P

@ DAN
======
If you switch to the EU Firmware, choose v1.046 as this is the only one that allows the "cheats".
Phones usually don't go "dead" unless the flashing process was interrupted at a critical stage.
Phones can always be repaired unless the Hardware was damaged (very unlikely).
Go for it!!!

Great info Mickey!!!
I've heard of this before and it is much easier to buy VS2 or VS3 cables than SHARP cables.
In fact, every Vodafone store I go to never EVER has ANY accessories for the 903SH!!! SO BAD.

By the way, just to share some info with 903 users. The data cable bundled with Panasonic V series handphone can be used for 903 as well. Of course for data transfer and act as usb charger as well.

Hey guys,
I have plan to buy a 1GB mini SD card. However unsure whether to buy normal speed or high speed (80X) type? Will the speed of the card improve the performances in read and write for 903? Please advise.

@ Lazylilsnoop
Have a look a few posts back, you'll find a post of mine that explains how to do it. It's quite lengthy so take some time.
Maybe use the search function for "0111111".
Remember, this might only work on 1.046 & the HK version.
If everyone could "contribute" by downloading a legal version of a game, and then share it that would be awesome!

@ Jolly Rogers
I'm afraid so, you can only store and play protected games, which is what you download from Vodafone or any other carrier.
Later I will make a file available that contains a few awesome games.

SHUTTER SOUND & JAVA GAMES
===========================
The only way to disable the shutter sound is to hack into the firmware and replace the sound-file with an "empty" sound. This was done for SE models, I have no idea whether it's possible for SHARP.
Other than that you can't disable or lower it, it is for privacy concerns I believe (no spying on people.)
JAVA GAMES: Can they be played on the phone memory? You cannot simply download any JAD or JAR file, it must be a protected .HUF file which is available from Vodafone.
Once I download a game off Vodafone Live! I can transfer it to my memory card and then share it on my computer (and share it with all you guys.)
cheers,

Hey Skater, thanks for the advise!
I've reformatted my SD card,
Add in a "Games and More" folder in "My Items" via computer,
Restarted using 8+PWR and the "011111111" etc.
Now, in my GSX Games I can see my SD card,
I've downloaded some java games,
which automatically saved onto phone first,
I transferred them to SD card,
but they still "Cannot Open."
Any idea why, or the "0111111" trick is not flashing to EU firmware? Thanks again, Skater
