Hi there,
it's best for you to get it flashed, and yes it can be flashed to the EU 1.046.
Once the flasher has uploaded the flash files to your phone via cable, you need to do the #+PWR trick to install the firmware properly. After that all tricks will work!

Hi Skater42, I live in Singapore.
I think my firmware's from HK, bluetooth device reads the phone as SX833 eventhough on the side of the phone itself says Vodafone 903SH.
Can you help me set up the Games? Thanks!!

It's neither HK/TW, nor JP or EU. What branch are you with...Vodacom or TeleFrance or something?

Please help me set up games.
My 903's firmware is:
A6290
EMP: U100 5.0
OW: 7.0.2.1.474
APLIX: 1.11
Seems the Restart+8 trick doesn't work on this firmware, besides, there isn't a "My Items" in the SD card which I can find.
Would any kind soul help me with this? Thanks!!

damm it
this phone is giving me too much pain
i used to be able to do the ima trick on it to use my mp4 as ringtone
now it totally cannot change file name so im stuck witht the ringtones inside the phone,im going to sell it off
i reset it 2 times and its still cannto rename the file...damm it

i just bought a new 903 in HK. and i'm trying to do the java trick but i have 1 question.i punched in the firmware code thing and this is what shows up.

so which one is the firmware version?

Hi all!!
Please help me, i have bricked my phone.
i tried to flash my firmware from crappy TW firmware to Euro firmware thru www.gsmliberty.net. my first flash failed because i failed to read the instruction "press the ON button". and than it continued to flash. i tried to stop the flash by removing the battery, and the proggy said "battery empty, please recharge your battery and try again". now i tried to reflash it again, and it went thru. but now my phone wont turn on. can some one please help me!! i am sad.

@ Alex,
The HK version does not support MP3 unless it is DRM. Try assigning MP4 ringtones, if this doesn't work, use the IMA trick.
Renaming the files is done through the menu...sorry can't help you much.

JAVA GAMES & DIFFERENT SIMS

Java games & Music downloaded from Vodafone need a specific "Key". This key authorizes them to be played on your phone.
The key is sent via a push message, and is stored on your SIM/USIM. When you change SIM cards the key is no longer available and won't allow you to play your Music/Games.

Hi everyone, as you know I have sold my 903 and brought the SE W900i. Before I got this phone I absolutely hated all Sony Ericsson phones and never in my wildest dreams would buy one. Until I saw the review between the 903SH (UK Firmware) and the W900i (UK Firmware, also my firmware) and I decided that I was going to buy one and see how things went.
Some major aspects of the W900i that makes the W900i a better phone is…..
- Walkman player, Awesome Awesome sound, a total iPod killer
- NO lagging in the Camera or Video Camera
- LCD is just as clear as the 903, W900i LCD better in the direct sun light
- W900i is easier to use, nicer keypad layout
- 470 internal memory
- Can take up to 2G Memory Stick Duo, 903SH only 1G
- Very good Flash for Camera
Aspects of the 903 that makes the 903 a better phone is………
- 3.2MP Camera (only makes the pic larger otherwise same quality as W900i)
- Nicer to hold
- Better looking
- Bigger LCD (not by too much tho)
- 2X Optical Zoom
- Can take pics without spinning and shutting the phone, on the W900i “Please close the phone o use camera” this is annoying
903SH Bad things
- Slow at reading from the miniSD
- Slow at saving Pics taken from the camera to the miniSD
- Expensive (RRP $1349 in NZ)
- Only 8MB internal
W900i Bad things
- Slower to use when internal memory gets used up
- Bulky
- Awkward to hold when texting or making a phone call
- BIG although not too much bigger than the 903
Taking all these aspects into account I feel that the W900i is better vaule for money, this really does combine all ones multimedia requirements into one good looking great priced unit. To all those people looking at the 903, do take a glance at the SE W900i, it is not like any other SE phone that I have come across other than the K750i and W800i. Well done both Sharp and SE however when price is a factor, W900i takes the cake at this one. Thanks
Dont think that I still dont like the 903SH, I used one of these since they 1st came out, I just thought that it was time for a change aand decided that the W900i was the next thing.

I have a Sharp 903 From NZ and i bought a 1gb mini sd card. Does anyone know how to copy movie files such as .avi etc to the 903 and view them onthe phone?
