hello, im sorry if this is a repeated question. I am fairly new the the 903's. Im interested in getting one but all i hear are different stories about how the 903 has treated them. I am aware that there are several different versions of this phone. If i were to purchase one rite now, which one should i purchase so that it does not have any problems. Also, if i were to purchase one from plemix.com, is that the beta version or one of the other versions that would cause problems. Basically, if i bought one from plemix, would i be satisfied? thank you

To Vivian. I have tried that and there's no option it could be set as ringtone. As recorded sounds r on amr format, maybe its possible f u convert it 2 MP3 format but I don't think it would sound good as MP3s or MIDIs. By the way, set ur tone setting to "Bass" instead of surround or surround bass. The sound is louder and more solid.

To Vivian. I don't think it's possible as recorded sounds would be on AMR format. I have tried it now and there's no option to set it as a ringtone. It has to be converted to MP3 and even its possible, I don't think it would be better than MP3s. There are many P2P networks where u can download MP3s. U just have to download and install them to ur computer. Visit www.download.com

Fake Carl Zeis cam for the N90??? No wonder why it hasn't come up to UK shelves so far... or may be never. $800???!!! Wait another few months and it will drop to 80. Nokias are only good for T n T users with no enthusiasm for excellent pictures and good sounds.

Yes ma'am. That's the idea. And u can do it vice-versa. And more time-saving. Only, u just have to insert and remove and reinsert and remove over and over again.

To Kelly. I a dark setting, u have to turn the "mobile light" option to ON or Automatic or Low Light whatever u choose and the light turns on steady like a flashlight but when u capture, the light flashes like conventional cameras' flash but not as bright like them. But 903's cam is powerful that even in darker settings when the light and "flash" are used they give a very good picture too. And when you turn the cam off, the light goes off as well and u have to go back to mobile light mode again if u want another shot.

In addition, if u have X-in-1 reader/writer say,15-in-1,u can use it for any mem card available today including XD card for digicams. Really handy.

To Vivian. Better use a card reader/writer. Its much faster in moving files from computer to phone and vice-versa. Data link cable will take ages b4 u can complete a transfer... much like a bluetooth.

Question to Sharp 903 owners:
I already know from my research that the type of light provided by led flash is different from the type provided by regular flash on regular cameras. So I just want to find out does it work as a real flash or as a steady flash light?
And if it does work as a real flash in Sharp 903, then is it automatic like on regular cameras or it has to be switched on/off manually?
SERIOUS ANSWERS from Sharp 903 users only!

To Reno,
I have turn off the Authentication Setting. I will give it a try again later on. Thanks for your help.
On the other side, meaning to say that there's no way to lowder the volume, right? That's bad. The ringtone is really too soft.
Just to check, the default code can be used to unlock most of the locked function?
Thanks.

PRICE UPDATE:
903 New price at http://plemix.com $390!
Excellent job Sharp!
Go head and smash ridiculous Nokia N90 $800 phone!
P.S.
I'm not the Nokia hater (I stated many times that I respect the best Nokia phones), but N90 with its fake Carl Zeiss and other gimmicks must be brought to the end soon!
When 900/1800/1900 version of N90 comes to nokiausa website, I'm sure it will be a disaster. I don't think T-Mobile will pick up this phone ever (eventhough T-Mobile is the only carrier that works on a cingle 1900 frequency)

Video resolution is 320X240 but if Media stage crashes(refuses)during conversion, try 720X576. This is tricky. U need 2 kinds of conversion if your file is an mpeg. U have to convert it first to avi then to asf format. Not all types of asf converters are accepted. You will know. It won't play. You will need proper programs to do this butg once u got it going it is soooooooo nice.

To vivian. Try the default code(9999)if u haven't changed it yet. U can set the "other" found device its own code it u r prompted. Level 5 is the loudest setting. Sharp has never thought of installing an amplifier (yet) on this model. Unlike GX30i with a very loud tone. You can dance with it.
