To Open-Minded ,
Since you are so jealous with those who can get phones with camera and mp3 and 3G all special functions, i suggest that you go get yourself a Digicam, ipod and a regular phone and hang them on your neck which will soonner or later make you short due to the weight... and people will be going woo and wah over your gadgets which you can hang on your neck and show off.... unlike those who have only one sharp phone to hang on them... if you are contented with my suggestion , go buy yourself those gadgets ... (think their weight will add up to 1kg? lol) and i suggest you get yourself a pants with lots of pockets...

Sharp 903 is the closest one to replace a basic digital camera but still cannot be called a professional camera.
1.3 MP, 2.0 MP, 3.0 MP or evn 6.0 mp (by Xcute): They are all just a plain rip off.
WHY I say rip off not a Gimmick?
BELLOW ARE MY STRONG REASONS:
I was wondering how come so many phone brands, including even pieces of junks such as Motorola or Kyosera (American CDMA junk)
started to include 1.3, 2.0, 3.0 mp sensors.
ANSWER:
Today, to put any megapixel sensor into cellular phone does not take a hard work to do! Without normal sized sensor, real flash
( not flash light) , auto focus, real optical zoom (not an internal one) O.I.S.
(Optical Image Stabilization, which is being used on all new Panasonic Digital cameras and serves to protect the image against hand shaking), different shooting modes: any megapixel camera still will be just a cheap adding to a phone (just like 640/480 resolution crap).
But what even more angers me is the misleading "FLASH" specification that is being put by GSM arena and other websites into phones descriptions! THERE IS NO CELLULAR phone on european or american market has a real automated flash!
GSM ARENA AND OTHER WEBSITES, must state:
Flash Light, not Flash!
OH YEAH FOLKS, there is a huge difference!
NOW, THE GIMMICK WOULD BE IF Sharp, Nokia, Samsung or Panasonic would claim that their new megapixel phones can replace the same resolution digital cameras. Well, since they don't claim this, then they are honest.
But what they do is, they overprice these phones because they know that society will buy them just because it can read: 2.0 MP! OR 3.0 MP! How rediculous is it?
To be honest the only one who does not over price their so-called megapixel phones is PANASONIC! (mx6 1.3 mp everage cost is only $250)
WELL, DON'T WASTE your money, and buy a simple and durable Nokia phone instead or Panasonic mx6, sa6.

Hi guyz!! I have got now a 903 but sometime ago I had a GX30 whith a 1GB SD card inside!!! And it worked without problems!! I got the 903 for nothing because I found in the GX30 a "problem" which cant be fixed its not really a problem. Sharp made such a phone whith this bug!! I wont write down wich problem I had its to long i think you wont understand me!! So I gave this GX30 3 times to repair(they had alsohad tested the phone) and 2 times they took my phone a gave me a new ones!! But on the 3rd time they took my phone and said that we had annoyed them and we shall take any phone we want!! Without paying!! I'm just lucky but the matter is that I would like to know how to play games on this phone where to take 128 channels poliphonic ringtones (I have heard that yamaha has somthing like this)? And where to take the "fu..ing" games for this phone.
P.s. I m from Russia Saint Pete and you can understand that nobody has such a phone in m city and i can't find games for such a advanced phone!!! Thankz

To john.
Yes the price will jump up but its much safer this way... you just think bout it... you still gotta sent to back to him to upgrade the solfware.. but can you guarantee they will do it for you again... and sending back will coz you quite a lot for shipping to and without... plus if you sent without insurance... they can claim that the phone was misplaced by the shipping company and there goes your phone... therefore, why not use the shipping money to wait and pay for the new phone... which is a much safer deal... it wont make much difference..
as for
"Is it safe to assume even those selling on Worldex, Plemix and WElectronics are the same with the beta verion? Does anyone know?"
this i cannot comfirm as i didnt by any phone from them... getting factory goods might be that
1.rejected goods with some defects which they reburbish?
2.bought over illegally from factory which might void warranty?
you can check previous posts to see whether they are safe anot...
(i am not trying to flame or bash those company ... this are just my thoughts as i am considering to buy the phone and research to see which is the safest and cheapest)
no offences cheers!!

Hey Kshin, so do you suggest that we wait till the bugs are fixed before we buy the phone? Will the price raise by the time they fix the completely? I was thinking about getting it now, but the fact that I wouldn't know what to do when a new firmware releases.

Currently its in the beta version of upgrading phones to allow it to be used in all networks.. but these are the bugs
1.The phone will not be working anymore once you MASTER REST YOUR PHONE
2.After you turn off the phone, you will lose some settings in the phone and you have to save it again.
3.The phone will be turn off immediately once the power button has been pressed (Not like the regular 903 holding the power button for 2secs to turn off the phone)
4.The keypad light is off in all the times, you need to turn it on by yourself in the setting menu everytime.
5.The phone will be automatically in the vibartion mode (silent mode) everytime you turn on the phone. You need to turn off the silent mode by yourself.
hope someone can faster solve this bugs... cheers

Since someone mentioned about the marketing gimmick, I have to note the following:
Noki N90's Carl Zeiss is a big big advertising gimmick. Don't get me wrong, I respect general line of Nokia phones and consider them to be the most durable and high quality phones (yes PHONES , and not the cameras!)
COMPARE THE PHOTOS that are taken by Nokia N90 and Nokia 6681!
You don't have to go too far, the photos are in GSMarean reviews of both phones!
Photos of the same places, taken by both phones show, that 6681 delievered high quality, sharp, and truthful on color photos. Same sceens or places taken by N90 look horrible!
HERE are the links:
http://www.gsmarena.com/review.php3?idReview=38&idPage=4 (Nokia 6681)
http://www.gsmarena.com/review.php3?idReview=45&idPage=3
So, as you can see the difference is obvious.
6681 has more color-truthful and sharper images. Yet, for some reason all we hear is:
CARL ZEISS, CARL ZEISS, CARL ZEISS. Well, it must be a fake Carl then, since Sony Ericsson would be more logical to use Carl zeiss in their phones, and even they don't use him. I wonder why?

To Wobbuffet:
Well if I were to buy a phone with a 2mp camera, I would choose the k750I over the N90, as quite a few tests have proven the former to be better (in fact I have tried them both; I am part of the device team of a mobile operator in Hong Kong). I agree with you that pixels is not everything, but it's also important to distinguish between what's a marketing gimmick and what is bona fide quality.

Really? I don't know, to me it seems pretty shady. But maybe it might take them time to respond to emails. But it's been 2 weeks already so I don't know what the problem is.

This phone is not a professional camera at all.
That handset can be the right choice if you need a multimedia device with many features.
It is for sure comparable in features with Nokia Nseries models.
In fact although it has no Symbian OS it has stereo 3D sound and optical zoom.
3.2 mpx camera could be an exceptional feature, but, if you don't need to print large size photos, 2 mpx is a resolution even higher than what you need.
In normal size photo print nobody could notice the pixel difference.
More pixels also mean less photos in the memory, because 3.2 mpx photos take more than 50% of memory than 2 mpx ones.
So if you only need pixels you should look for Xcute mobiles, which lack multimidia and connectivity features, but can offer exceptional 6 mpx video and photo capabilities.
But if you want a multimedia phone don't look only to the number of pixels, think about that also the camera quality is very important.
Sharp is the leader of digital cameras, but don't forget that Nokia N90 has carl Zeiss glass lenses.
