To Kyle:
:) I completely agree with all your reasons for why more and more people are complaining about the weight of phones weighing below 200g these days - especially commercial brainwashing...think the V3 haha, which has been and still is such a hit but feels horrible on your cheek when you chat on the phone for a long time.

    To Anonymous:

I guess you are right at some point too.
But as of for me, I wouldn't mind to carry 180g. phone. To me it is a normal size and weight phone.

If you look at security workers and constractor workers, they carry a walkie talkie radio that is usually much bigger than even very old Nokia phones. Yet, nobody complaints about that equipment. Why? Very simple: The equipment works well, and does what it suppouse to do.

The reason why everyone complains about 150g. or 180g. weight phones today is:
    1) Society is not very mature (my opinion)
    2)Comercial brainwashing (my opinion again)
    3) Most cellular phones don't perform as phones (majority of the popuplation's opinion)

Kyle I guess you're right that Samsung is the only manufacturer so far to have integrated a professional digital camera with a phone but I am guessing that the majority of the market does not need a camera embedded in a phone with that quality. Besides, I don't think everyone can accept a phone with the size and look of a digital camera (like the V770, which is basically a Sony DSCP150 with a phone embedded in it).

Ok, I just contacted Welectronics, and the person on the phone told me, that they don;t have now in stock neither phone (no 902, neither 903).

As about the price, he said he is not sure. He said he will check with his Management if there are any errors online.

AT welectronics Sharp 902 costs $1000
and Sharp 903 costs only $650!
              What a magic that is!

I'm gonna call them now, to find out if it is an error on their website about the price of 902 or about the price of 903.

I suggest you guy bombard them with phone calls too, and tell them that evrywhere else today, Sharp 902 costs $500 the most!

I am from HongKong and have been using this phone for 2 weeks already. Unbelievable photo quality and great music sound. With this phone you really don't need MP3 player. For camera, although the pic quality is caparable to DC but the battery life is not good enough for long trip, but excellent for normal snap shot use. Saving time is a bit long though. Very rich texture and build quality, feel much solid than Nokia and SE phones. My gf has W800i and it has more function than SX833 such as FM radio but overall quality is in different league, especially the camera. Can't agree more with people saying SE is making toy phones.

I agree with professional photographer, and I just want to mention that only the very new SAMSUNG WCDMA phones for KOREAN MARKET have a professional digital camera built in (or to say it more properly the phone built in into digital camera).

SAMSUNG-SPH 2300 (3MP, REAL OPT ZOOM, REAL FLASH)And Samsung SCH-V770 (7mp, real opt. zoom, real flash and different shooting modes with manual separate settings and auto-focus).

Check their photos and reviews here:
                  http://www.dpreview.com/news/0..._schv770.asp
                  http://www.dpreview.com/news/0...gsph2300.asp
                  and especially this one:

EUROPEAN Samsung phones that are coming soon such as: d600, p860, and other megapixels, are very great for europe and USA but they cannot replace a digital camera. Not even Sharp 903!

sorry forgot to ask another question on previous post...

this question goes out to anyone with a Sharp 903 who has Tmobile as their service provider (if there is anyone out there fulfilling the 2 requirements)

Are you able to use ALL the features that Tmobile has to offer? Tzone, web browsing, picture msging, etc.

Just noticed that on www.plemix.com they have both Sharp 903 and Sharp Sx833, now I know they are the exact same phones (or so I've heard) just that they are different names for different countries. But why would plemix charge less for 903 and charge more for 833? $635 vs $799...can anyone tell me pleasee thanx

Before I talk about Sharp 903, I will ask you folks to stop dreaming, and go get yourself a durable cellular phone with a good batterry life and the one that does phone functions very well
(there are not many today either)
                        -Nokia 5140
                        -Nokia 6170
                        -Nokia 6260
                        -Nokia 6681
                        -Sony Ericsson s700
(Only the phones mentioned above received 4.0 score and higher on a 5.0 maximum score scale!)

NOW ABOUT SHARP 903's so-called digital camera: Anyone who is familiar with professional photogrpaphy will tell you that there is no such a thing in today's world such as internal optical zoom. Both Sharp 902 and 903 claim to have this so-called internal optical zoom ( what a magic this Sharp does, hmmmmm, optical zoom inside the camera that is 30mm thick!)

This is a big gimmick that Sharp uses to promote this phone as a digital camera which this is not!

In addition, it does not even have an autofocus! Nor does it have any shooting modes like any 3mp digital camera does have!

All these things don't make other brands like Nokia or Sony Ericsson have digital cameras in their phones either! Non of those so-called 2m digital cameras have an otical zoom, shooting modes, or normal size screen.

FIRST OF ALL, I'm not working for Plemix or any other company of this type.

SECONDLY, I can't understand your reaction here guys. All I wanted is for you to go to www.plemix.com and check their website yourself.

I'LL REPEAT my strong opinion (which I belive majority of mature population of this country will share):
THERE IS NO WAY for a big company like PLEMIX, not to have a toll free costumer care contact telephone #!

If you have time and desire to play email games, then PLEMIX is your right choice.

Stephen, Mark: How will we know that you are not, in fact, Plemix itself posting on its own behalf?

Linda: On the other hand, how can we make sure that the post against Plemix did not come from a company in the same business as Plemix?

Bottom line: We should always take the opinions here with a grain of salt...

I have order from Plemix at least 20 times and the service is outstanding! Additionally, I have ordered from their Ebay name X1387 at least 5 times! Shipping is not to much money either, considering all(most) are shipped directly from Hong Kong with 1-2 day wait! Dont let a person who has no idea what they are talking about convince you not to buy Plemix products. They have the best products, the best prices, and excellent service!

On my previous post I made a huuuuge mistake: I said 903 has a screen with a resolution of 640x480. This is NOT true. The 903 resolution is "only" 320x240, half the on of the DV2 (which is 640x240)

Someone here said the Sharp 903 is better than the DV2 for the following reasons:

Camera-wise: 903 has optical zoom while the DV2 does not. Well, if you think a mere 2x optical zoom is better than having a DVD quality (640x480) video recording and at 30 frames per second then you should go with the 903. But I've never found a situation where a 2x zoom solved my problem...

Phone-wise: The 903 has 3G and bluetooth while the DV2 does not. That's true! But, in my case (Brazil) we don't have 3G yet, so to us here this point is mooth. Concerning bluetooth, the main reason for its use in my opinion it's those headsets. I really don't like using them cos I don't wanna look like Terminator 2!

And we haven't even taken into account the 640x240 16.2 million colors of the DV2 against 640x480 252K colors of the 903. Now, that's 2x more screen resolution and with many more colors!!!

So, in my opinion, what the xcute DV2 has to offer is more interesting than what's 903 has. At least here in Brazil.
