Well "Linda" it appears that you haven't ordered anything from the internet recently. 1 day shipping is often expensive due to the fact that they get it to you in one day. Why are you so wary of plemix.com? Have you ordered something from them and gotten scammed or something like that? Maybe you shouldn't bash plemix.com considering that all you did was look at their website.

Just suggesting to wait until 903 will become available by other third party dealers. BEAWARE of PLEMIX.COM

I guarantee the price will be more or less the same. Just remember that if the price is even $50 more than at Plemix, that means the same, since plemix charges close to a
$50 for one day delivery by UPS!)

Best cam phone is the xcute DV2. 6mega pixel cam (3 MP interpolated to 6 MP but still par with 903 3MP cam). 640x240 screen with 16 million colors versus 320x240 252K colors on the 903. Best of all: DV2 recards video at DVD quality (640x480) at 30 frames per second against 320x240 at 15 frames per second video on the 903.

Price? Both have the same price!

            Now, which one is better?

just got mine of vodafone and i have to say the camera's amazing i've just changed up from 6680 nokia and thats not in the same league. and i agree this phone doesn't require and external screen cause it rotates.

only complaint shouldn't be limited to vodafone.

much improved battery life out lasts nokia 6680 but that wouldn't be hard.

i work for a phone company and trust me this phones the best available in this country by a long way

                  FORGOT TO ADD:

THE REASON why most JAPANESE phones (including SHARP)don't have an external screen is Very simple:
There is no need to have it (sorry american infant boys!)
                  1) It takes more of the battery life
                  2) If you need a photo call, you can still have it by opening the phone (just set up the option where you need to press call button in order to answer the call!)

The way you guys out here are so hanged up on the external screen shows one more time how childish and brainwashed our american society is!

SHARP 903 is the phone of the 2005!

I will post negative stuff that I found in Sharp 903:
                            1. no external screan
                            2. speaker is not loud
                            3. cant record voice while in call
                            4. SMS confirmation comes as new e-mail (annoing) for example sonyericsson had confirmation on the sms that was sent.
                            5. cant send/recieve e-mail more then 300kbs
                            6. when i put silent mode alarm also becomes silent. bad because some people annou me at night and I put silent but then i cant wakeup :(

Flight mode is an option to turn the telephone-part off, but you can still use games, camera, mp3 and other options within the phones menu... :) You just can't make and recieve calls...

In the review http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Page=2&Id=1638 it was stated that the 903 has a flight mode? So are you going to be able to recieve and make calls while in a plane?

And about the external display, I think it's really a matter of preference. The lack of an external display is replaced by an LED (in addition to the one that serves as the camera's flash), so unless you frequently use your phone as a watch, it can at least notify you of any missed calls (you can set the color of the light to indicate miss calls and it blinks continuously to notify you of any such occurrences). In fact it's quite a common trend in Japan for phones not to have an external display - just look at some of the new Panasonic phones (Vs2, Vs3, etc..)and you can see a direct similarity.

I don't know whether this is true or not but I have read in a mobile phone magazine that the DV2's so called 6 mega pixel camera is just a 3mega pixel camera interpolated to 6MP - something like the Super CCD technology used in the Mitsubishi M900. But yes, the DV2's video recording capabilities definitely beats the 903's.

well its the dv2 thats has the 6mp camera and you can get it of ebay for the same price as the 903...but ur right about the the dv2 the build quality is more like a plastic toy than the phone and infact the picture quality do not look all that better than the sharp 903 as i have tested both
