Please explain, Upaul...
There is actually no Sony Ericsson model just called K300... one can see model name on the sticker under the battery on the frame (next to sim card when inserted)
There are only 3 versions of the K300 model (besides operator branded, but these vary only with branding and software):
1) K300a - a 850/1800/1900 band version made for the Americas (a)
2) K300c - a 900/1800/1900 band version made for China (c)
3) K300i - a 900/1800/1900 band version made for the rest (International market - i).
Difference between sets is only software between K300i and K300c.
The difference between K300i (and K300c) and K300a is that the K300a is made specifically for the 850 band used in South and North America. Other functionality is the same.
There are also differences in various keypads for different languages.

Regarding Play Now -
all K300 do not come with Sony Ericsson's "Play Now" due to that the operators think this is competing with their own cash cows (example: Vodafone Live). So if you have bought a K300i which is operator branded the chances are they have made the phone have less general functionality and have more operator specific functionality.

It sone of the best deals you can make with the price as low as this. Camera works just fine. good sound and all that one should need in this mobile is there. not as good as some nokia or sony ericsson mobile phones but comparing prices make it as good as the rest.

SW = Software
90% of the battery is charged within 1 hour so you can safely remove it after 1-2 hours

Recently i bought k300. Phone works fine battery lasts 3-4 days depending on how much i am playing with my cam. But from the very first time i have charged the battery till today even after 14-15 hours charging says that battery is still charging. I dont think that it is a problem with the battery cos as I said battery lasts 4 days. i would be thankfull if someone answer my Q. THNX

Harrison,
this is not possible due to where you live, unless you change the SW (and then you void your guarantee).
In some markets there are laws that regulate that there must be a sound when taking a picture (in order to avoid taking peek photos). Sony Ericsson has therefore bundled together those markets which use the same languages to have this software fix (since the SW is based on language sets and operator). In other markets this is not needed, so there will be K300i users which will not have this problem.

Hi!! When I asked for advice for a new cell this phone was very recommended :). And I can see it has very nice features. Can anyone tell me wich color the backlite is? Cammera resolution 640x480, right? ... As an opinion, a nicer look would't be a bad idea :s, I really don't like it's design very much. Thanks!
