ok thanks!!! my friend had an old w800 lying @ and let me use it to see if i like it and i do except the joystick..... im used to HUGE phones looking for something smaller and compact but the keys on the k550 seem diff.... well u solved my problems haha now its btwn the k550 and 810..... i will choose one! hey ONE MORE QUESTION lol i know im bugging u but which screen do u know is bigger? and i see the 550 is skinner but is it super slim?? im one of the few who like fat phones!!!

I was just wondering how much memory capacity this phone is able to read/use? I checked sony ericsson's site and it says the max is a 2gb m2 card, but my sister recently bought the w580i and she has a 8gb m2 card that works when the max for that phone was also listed at 2gb capacity. If someone can clarify for me that would be appreciated. Thanks

well i dont know much abt other phones but yes k550 is gem of a phone, it can play any media file u give it and it will play it. you can set as ringtones any file format mp3,wav,midi,mp4 or any other. it has a good speaker specially clear, and yes track id does need gprs connection as it sends information over the air but it isnt so useful. but i tell u this is a very stylish phone doesnt look so expensive like nokia n series but yes its eye catching. the metallic keys does make a impact..... the only thing i dislike abt this phone is that the stock earphones are not very comfortable in your ears, but walkman phone earphones are great they fit so well in your ears and produce very good sound effect they also work well with the k550i but u obviously need to buy them and yes the stock earphones are good in sound quality just not comfortable in the ears...
i hope this will solve ur confusion, i just tell u one thing i bought this phone a month or so ago and before buying it i was really confused just like u, but i am very happy that i choose this phone....
seems i am writing too much, anyways make up ur mind and choose a good phone.......

omg i am having phone problems!!!!!!!! i do like the candybar style and now i can not decide between the w810....or......w850....or k500>?!?!?! can u use mp3 as ringtones on alll these? AND track id...does it require internet to use that feature. i am from a small town in tx and no store has any of these phones so i have to go by eye. I LOVE BIG phones like w850 but i want to try candybar style..... im so confused!@ ohh and thanks =)

i bought this phone last week after of months of gathering info about this phone.i am really sattisfied,i had everything i want, the camera is ok specially in the morning! you cannot get as beautiful as this with nokia phone with that budget..

well both phones are really good but w850 has an upperhand as it has a bigger display, a secondary cam, it has 3g both have good picture quality and since both are walkman phones they will definately have a great sound. but remember w850 has a sliding form factor so may be u need to keep a bit out of ur child's hand. and yes congrats in advance for both the phone and the new born baby......

thanks!!!!!!!!! yea i do the like the purple but i am absolutly iN LOVE WTH white phones! i played with the w850 and fell in love!!!!!!!!! is it a pretty good phone?!?! i am soooooo un decisive bwtn this one...w850 or w610i.......can u please help me out? i am about to have a child next week so i need a mp3 for excercise.......a camera for his pictures.......and durability for when he throws it! lol please shed any light =) thanks again!

well the ringtones ring fairly loud depends a lot on the ringtones, wel the stock ones are loud enough to be heard even in noisy environments. i wont say it is very loud but yes loud enough to be heard...Hope that helps.

well no direct way of locking the files but this does not meant that u cant lock it...
there are variety of java softwares with the help of which u can lock ur personal files..
moby explore is one of them if u want the trial version i can give it to u but i dont have the full version :-( hoping to find it soon... well if take the pain of searching it and find the full one plz do tell me..

well first tell me what type of ringtones do u want if u want international stars ringtones there are many sites u can easily get them by google search, but if u want bollywood ringtones then i can help u out a bit but only if u want so tell me.......
well since u bought the phone just 2 weeks ago u really dont need to upgrade ur firmware right now may be some time later... and if u are not happy with the OS then u can flash it and install anew one of other mobiles like some os of the walkman series.. but its risky.... i did updated my cam driver but really not very with it. so i will say that the stock firmware is really good and no updation is needed right now....ENJOY :-)
