Is there a *cheap* version of this fon, but without 3G/EDGE/WLAN? Or the one with 3G, and not EDGE? Thanks!

ohh ok what abt the sound???? i absolutly have to have a loud ringer! i just read that the w610 has a good speaker!? let me know what ut hink..... ohh and if i go for the 770 i loooooooove the purple but i want to see it in a personal photo not a stock one....do u know where i could find one? let me know! thanks for ur help =)

go for k770 if u can afford man coz 3.15 mpxl is always and in anyways better than 2mpxl in k550, k770 has a secondary cam and everything which is there in k550. the scrren size of k770 is also bigger than k550...

hi i am about to buy this phone but then i saw the k770 and was wondering which is better since price is abt 100 difference. pls let me know asap so i can place my order, is the speaker good when calls are coming in? i like loud ringers and alarm clocks. thanks! =)

hey teen_girl_69 i think k550i is better than 6300 .k550 camera is much beta and da build is more solid

I'm using this phone approximately 4 weeks. Phone is ok, but its camera funtion is not friendly, 2mp camera but can't zoom while use in capture mood, but when use it in VGA mood then it can zoom. Can't understand its EDGE speed, coz its not shown anywhere, in user guide or in phone. Can't access sony ericsson RSS or site. Little disappointed.

in order to install the camera drivers you need a program called FAR and another program called X++, they enable you to access the system folders of the your phone and edit the contents. this is quite a risky process as your phone needs to be in firmware update mode (connect phone to computer with no sim whilst holding the C key) and if your computer crashes during this process your phone will be an empty shell needing a complete re-install of the original firmware.
there's a tutorial on the forum that was linked to earlier about how to flash/edit your system files but i've still not got the hang of it just yet. it involves knowing the specific codenames for your phone and it's firm/software so i need a few spare hours to make sure i'm not going to blow my phone up.
everyone on the forums dedicated to modding/flashing their SE phones seem to have made vast improvements to thier funtionality. in particular i'm veryinterested in being able to install a better audio driver and increase the camera's night mode performance and video fps (can go up to 30fps)

How do I install the cam drivers that people are talking about? Is it by just sending to the phone by bluetooth or infrared and it installs automatically or what?

I got this phone just a two weeks ago for about $222. It is so nice I guess though I did not download games and other stuff yet, but just music. The look, the camera, radio are nice. I just don't like the video. It is pretty slow. I have a question guys. Is there anyway that I can improve its video? I mean, I did not buy a memory card yet. Thanks.

u cannot move songs up/down in playlist; keypad is thin; no seek_bar/time in video (u need it when u fast_fwd); no simple way to change (saved) fm stations [in nokia phones u can change station by pressing headphone' speaker button];
enough reasons to leave sony_k550 and buy nokia_6300!!!!
