I just want to know the difference between the K750 and K750i and also i heard people talking about the memory being upgradable up to 2 GB and from others that it's upgradable only up to 1 GB. Can anyone shed some light on these ? Thanks

Frankly speaking we shouldnt be bothered about the sensor, i dont care if its CMOS or CCD. We are barely gonna notice the difference in the picture quality. We're just blowing up this issue unnecessarily. We shouldnt care much unless one of us is a professional photographer & is hoping of hangng this fone around the neck to do professional photography.

As i've mentioned once, it's a good idea not to purchase fones when they've just entered the market. Its good to wait a while to see how it fares in the market. Also the flaws that were in the initially released models are ironed out in the subsequent models.

Robot, I think people are having problems with this phone becasue they have not formatted the memory stick.

Well this better be the case, as I too have ordered one and it cost me £300!!!

If I have problems with this phone I will personally take it upon myself to assasinate every single employee of Sony Ericsson.

Everyone says CCD are better than CMOS slightly in nocie are I thin are rigt thanks to Jake's answer and yes the phone at the moment has a CMOS sensor!

cmos and ccd? And what lens does it have now? CMOS???
Man, I've ordered this one but planning on canceling it, people keep scaring me saying it breakes all the time! whyyy sonyericsson, whyyy!?

Poor guy: I think http://www.tx1.com still do free texts or they might have changed it!

To Jake and Tommy, just don't see why they are chaging the phone now it is out! Will it be slightly differnt in looks and call it like K750o or i or something as it is a better model?? Personaly I would just make another model simular to the K750 and out the CCD sensor in that and change and improve some other features!

Ok thanks Tommy and Jake! I believe CCD are better but when you said CCD and CMOS have their good points your basickly saying the CCD sensors are better lol apart from the battery!

Other question answered: Yes the phone does come with a cable to transfer stuff like photo's and things and has a memory stick too to but other things on that memory stick! I recoment getting a bluetooth dongle too for about £20! Wireless and quite fast!

                                Hmmm
TBH I can't see them doing that - if anything they will release a completely new device with those features encorporated or else people who have the lower spec'd model would be ruffled by that.
Also, how comes noone at Sony Ericsson has this info and yet that reviewer got the info? We have insiders at SE and they didnt know about it.
One last thing, the whole CMOS vs CCD debat is interesting, but as someone posted a link earlier, the CMOS on the K750i well outperformed a v970 (I believe) with a 2mp CCD. Maybe just the processor, but it was a big difference...
                                I still want the K750i :)

I wouldnt say CCD sensors are better than CMOS sensors. I'd say they're two different & have advantages of their own.
CCD sensors create high-quality, low-noise images. CMOS sensors, traditionally, are more susceptible to noise.
Because each pixel on a CMOS sensor has several transistors located next to it, the light sensitivity of a CMOS chip tends to be lower. Many of the photons hitting the chip hit the transistors instead of the photodiode.
CMOS traditionally consumes little power. Implementing a sensor in CMOS yields a low-power sensor.
CCDs use a process that consumes lots of power. CCDs consume as much as 100 times more power than an equivalent CMOS sensor.
CMOS chips can be fabricated on just about any standard silicon production line, so they tend to be extremely inexpensive compared to CCD sensors.
CCD sensors have been mass produced for a longer period of time, so they are more mature. They tend to have higher quality and more pixels.
Based on these differences, you can see that CCDs tend to be used in cameras that focus on high-quality images with lots of pixels and excellent light sensitivity. CMOS sensors traditionally have lower quality, lower resolution and lower sensitivity. CMOS sensors are just now improving to the point where they reach near parity with CCD devices in some applications. CMOS cameras are usually less expensive and have great battery life.
