i think it's a good cellphone.But it has some limitations as their is no media player for video,and some times proper pics is not taken by it.othewise it's a great phone

Just buy the k790 as you wont need to use the mobile phones volume up to high
and the k790 is a cybershot.

hi, i got this phone 2 days back...
good camera and sound ....1 thing i m missing in it is ...i cant find call history ( total duration of time being used while talking.) i mean ...dialed duration..reci. duration...and all duration..)..
or may b i m unable to finding it in settings...can any body help me..?

i brought this cell 4 days before it is a good cell with a very goods cam.but one think i want ot know how capture a minute detials of objects? i mean to say that is it possibel to capture minute dtails of any thing you capture.

Picture quality is wonderful but its camera start giving problem in 3 months & screen become green and mobile is hanged many times

We know SE K790 is a good phone, cam, etc., I bought one 11 months ago (Lima, Peru).
Last week, it suddenly stopped. The screen change to white and no working anymore.
I sent it to my phone provider to fix it and they informe that the phone dont work due to a logical damage of itself, but they dont be clear about how can it happened.
Somebody know if is there a possibility to fix it, and how?

really good phone overall..good cam, good features everything..only problem is my games dont work, still finding a good solution...changed mines to a replicate the james bond silver edition looks better than the common black one

bought a K790a last year. After 6 months of owning this phone it suddenly stopped working one day. The screen would flash on and off and nothing seems to work.
I sent it to Sony Ericsson to fix it and they sent it back to me saying it's water damaged even though I'm 100% sure it didn't touch water anywhere. The white strip inside the phone is still white. They claimed it could be humidity from the air that caused corrosion. How bad is this phone's design that it can be damaged from humidity??? That's just ridiculous.
So now my phone is dead and they won't fix it. They wasted my time trying to call them and sending them the phone. Very rude service reps too. Worst customer support ever!!!

i bought this fone only ten days ago.but i have read so much bad comments on its joystick.that i m really confused.should i sell it or not.so is this true.....plz help me.anyways i m not facing any prblems till now.

Previously i was using LG C2500. Its a great entry level phone with multilpe features like mp3 player, FM radio 60MB memory,Camera etc. It has everything but lacked in quality.
I had faced little problems which might be very irritating. I cant take pic in low light. My mp3 didnt had Bass effect. and FM reception not clear. and also its ability to support java application is also too restricted to memory . its only 2MB .
But any way i loved that phone much. After using that entry level phone i got a clear idea of how a perfect mobile should be and Wow i would say K790i is a perfect mobile as i expected.
Little things which surprised me.
1.Next word prediction in writing SMS.
2.Multitasking capability is improved.
3.Java application can be minimised. Even several java application can be opened at the same time.
4.Ability to add as many no.of groups in contacts.
5.it has shortcut key for music player. It opens radio when ur head set is connected. the logic in which it work depends on ur previous usage. if u had used radio and next time when u press the music key it will open the radio. else if u had used music player earlier, the next time it will open music player. A tiny bit of artificial intelligence.
6.Email in text messagin can be easily configured for gmail and can be used. its working fine. Even u can upload any data from ur mobile to anywhere using the Email option.
7.While sending messages u can see the status of the message being sent in outbox. it might sound silly but while sending message to a group with twenty members supppose if it says mess sending failed. then u cannot figure out where it got failed. jus go to outbox and view status. u can see some messages with sent tag and one with failed and some with queued ... and also when u try to resend the same message it wont go for the person who already received the message. only persons with queud and failed tag will receive the message. such a wonderful creation.....
8.Next wonderful thing in sony is the ability to minimise the download while browsing. This is another multitasking ability of the phone and even u can browse in landscape mode which gives u better browsing experience.
8.Battery is another highly intelligent thing in this mobile. When u browse, listern to music, send message or play games etc.. the battery might look like decreasing in power. But when u quit all the things and keep it in idle mode. after some time u can notice that battery would have boosted up. I think battery power has been splitted for multimedia usage and phone usage..!!! another intelligent idea from sony.
9.Response time of the mobile is also very fast.
overall this mobile is simply superb.. little things make ur life easier.
CYbershot camera is really awesome.... Awesome flash light. Crystal clear pictures. Autofocus is really great.
I am proud that i have choosen the right mobile.
As others said joystick and back cover has to be carefully handled.
Tips: to avoid joystick getting damaged soon, dont use it for selecting menus.just use it for navigation. use left and right buttons for selecting....
