The joystick is the same used in other SE phones(K750i etc). This is the worst joystick ever used in mobile phones. Once damaged, you will need to replace it time to time for the period until you have this phone. Believe me this is my personal experience and the same was told to me by the mechanic in the service centere of SE while replacing me the fourth joystick.

I got the K790 about 3 weeks ago now.
I work for Rogers Wireless in Vancovuer Canada.
This phone is one of the best handsets I have had in my years of using phones and working with them.
Of course its not a Data Device for EMail, but it does make a great MP3 Phone, and the best Camera Phone!!!
I love the Xenon flash with it, great in the clubs and for night pictures. Way better than a LED light.

Pros-
This is The Best Phone that I ever used,it can play 3GP/MP4 videos & nice quality of MP3/MP4/3GP/AMR/WAVE audio files.Camera is of good quality with BestPic which capture 9 frames per click in 3MP Res.Flash is of good quality that one can capture pict in "zero" illumination.The external speaker's sound is excellent than any other SE(Except W550) As it has "Stereo Widening Feature" As W550.It supports J2ME aplications even "Mobyexplorer" that allow K790i to be accessed as Symbian operating system(Oh lala).The display is bit larger than K750 but small than S700 & it has nice Res.It supports vidoe Tone.The look of Phone is very Nice & attractive.
Cons-
Camera does not give satisfactory results if zoom exceeds beyond 8x.Flash is unavailable in BestPic mode.It can record video in 176x144 3GP(QCIF).No night mode for camera.The key pad is bit uncomfortable & "Joystic is Delicate" so handle with care!It has no photo light so you can't use it as "Torch".The phone is somewhat oversized.
But whatever,it attracts attention of everyone.

hello, im looking to buy this phone and i was wondering what the range of kbps (128? 192?) that the phone can play. I have a moto SLVR L7 and it only plays up to 192 kbps which was disapointing. thx!!

to new user, i was facing the same battery backup prob, i went to service center and they exchanged my phone with the new one, now my battery backup is real good, they say it was a phone set problem and rtnow i m having the same battery and a new phone :)

Does anyone know why I cannot use my own songs that I put on the phone as ringtunes or alarm signals? My last phone the Sony Ericsson S710 had no problems and it was a great feature so I didn't have to Pay $3.00 for a ringtune from the service provider for a part of the song I didn't even want.

hi all...
is it possible to set this phone to automatically connect to the internet at regular intervals of tim to check and synchro with my email account on yahoo ??
is this function network dependant ??
i have a nokia n73 and i got yahoo go for symbian fones installed on it and it does this function well. is ther a similar software available for non symbian sony phones like this one. any java file etc ??
