For setting MP3 as ringtone first go to the Music folder(or any other folder) in which you saved the Mp3 files then select your Mp3 file and click on (Right side button)MORE then choose USE AS->Ringtone.

i'm having problems with adding ring tunes to the phone. it seems that i can use the music player to play the mp3 but not set it as a ring tone. do i have to have a memory card to do that? or can i just save it in the phone memory? can anyone help me on this? sorry but i'm new at this stuff. thanks

sound quality not so good with the headphones in the box, may perform better with more quality earphones but i didn't try yet. on the other hand the final quality will probably not be comperable to that of walkman phones at all

Pls,can anyone put light on the sound quality of the phone... how loud it can go? hows is it on headphone to hear? and is it matchable upto the level of W-Series phone of Sony? Please reply.

@ evileye: Wtf? You're review is misleading
There IS a voice recorder on the k790, and an RSS reader, preloaded games, and ringtones. W810 did not have dedicated send and end buttons, nor do any other SE phone.

Well guys 790 takes amazing photographs in the night coz of its xenon flash.And thats the only good thing about this phone.Its not a a symbian phone.No loud music,no applications,no office suite.And the worst is the service center in India.I purchased it 10 days back,tried to change the sim yest and the phone is dead,For replacement the SE guys have sent it to Chennai,So probably will get the replacemnt after20 days.SE has got a verysad service setup in India.A big no-no for this phone...istead go and buy a motoming or n73.

I purchase this gr8 phone on 25th dec.
it is really nice one but the video recoard quaility is not much good.can any one help me to improve video quality.
The cybershot camera results are excellent.
please any one tell me the softwares avilable fot k790i.thanx in advance
i want more softwares please help me. the phone have no problem yet

Hi Hendra. M2 memory type comes with an adapter. You can use it to fit your memory card reader. Happy new year for all.

i just have purchased your k790 and i can get the phone to down load pictures to my laptop. i have gone to 3 rogers outlets in winnipeg to help me and it seems that no one can. if i don't get help i will be sending my phone back

Solution to mp3 ringtone problem...convert tracks to WMA for the following reasons..
a)you can fit twice as many songs
b)use them as ringtones

I recently bought this phone and it is AMAZING, the pictures come out great and as for the joystick, it could be improved. However, the phone in-all is very good, amazing camera, and is also good for music, no need for an mp3 player.

but i dont know how to send my album photo to my computer. cause there is no card reader to M2 type. or i must use bloutoth to send my pic. help me....

Presently using a W810i, I really love, I had the pleasure of using a K790a for a few days which would go on to become my fathers new cell. First off, all referances made is compared to my w810.
PROS:
-The K790a screen is larger and quality is better.
-Xenon flash really works well. More natural lighting.
-Camera is feature loaded and functions like a real camera.
-Lens cover slider.
-Pressing "0" in camera mode shows a onscreen help menu.
CONS:
-Keypad is harder to use than my w810. Keys are larger, but flush to each other.
-Joystick is not to my liking. Too many incorrect toggles either when trying to push directly down on the joystick. I can use my W810 faster.
-No flashlight on the k790a, Flashlight on my w810i was a added security and useful.
-No voice recorder on the K790a, that I found.
-No preloaded RSS reader, games, etc.
-No preloaded ringtones.
-"Events" keypad button and Music player keypad button to small, to easily depressed when tiring to use other buttons.
-M2 memory stick is another format available and can't be easily found at my locate electronic supply store.
-No dedicated "send" and "end call" button, as with the w810i.
All in all, a fantastic all-in-one camera phone, with the emphasize on the camera function.

K790 a is for amercian markets and is a triband cell instead of 900 mhz it has 850 so probably it cant be used in most asian countries but has 1800 and 1900 mhz so can be used in Brazil
