I am an avid Nokia Lover but SE i think has taken a lead in Series 40 cells, it has been 5 days since my good fried Asim Nayyaze advised me to take one so i went for K790i, the cells works brilliantly well though it cant make mp4 video it can play VGA/CIF both very well , brilliant camera the best in the market and with M2 now easily available its better to get rid off old fashioned Nokias and go for SE , things to improve is certainly Brower and Video (atleast CIF), a bit poor quality headphones , all question wellcome on e-mail , remember 790 had EDGE but 800 lacks it , 800 has 3G but no EDGE, I think shelf life would a year or a bit less.

the K800 is better has a video call camera but the w900 is way better than this one the memory stick is too expensive for the k790 other than that its a good phone.

hey dimpzz,
bought this fone in mumbai , camera and speaker phone are both good.
but dont compare the camera with a digital cam of 3 mp or u may b dissapointed , autofocus & flash are amazing .
Music play is clear but volume is quite low compared to the walkman series.
this my first se fone too n i'v completely gotten used to it... screen is wondeful , battery is kinda ok...all in all its a gud fone.

I said i already have K750i and was looking at K790i and were sceptical 'cause of certain features i mentioned in my earlier post.

I got my K790a from WirelessWay in Ontario (wirelessway.com) and had it shipped to my home on the west coast of Canada. If you are in the US, call WirelessWay and talk to Eric. I'm sure that he can arrange shippment to the US.

There are places in the USA that sell the K790a (but only a few). Just type it in a search engine and something will pop up.

Thanks, hope the firmware upgrade solves all the problems. They still cant do anything with the lens cover. Am still waiting for my phone which i had problems with. They said they would replace it, its about 3 weeks. Hope it comes with the new firmware.
So at last there is some hope.

i got the K790 last week.. with in hours of getting it. i had to go on a trip.. i took all the pics of the trip with this phone.. the pics are out standing.. this phone rocks.. the display get prints easily. the feel of it in the hand is good. sms via keyboard needs getting used to. plus, people forget to mention that this phone cane take panaromic pics..

I compared the camera quality of SE K790i and Nokia N73. Guys let accept this fact that SE has a better Camera Quality Better screen.No Software Issues even if i put a 1 GB Memory card and if the card is full.The phone would not Lag or Hang.
Comparing a Nokia N73. Software issues are there. The phone is very slow. When you open applications. If i put a 1 GB memory card than it will take forever to open Application, Songs & Pictures.
The Cons of a SE.
Very Delicate JoyStick. You have to use it very Care fully and Delicately.

I have a K790a (Retail) and am very impressed with the phone. For those who have had some software issues, there is a major firmware update for the K800/K790i/K790a coming out sometime in the next week or so which fixes most issues.

The SE K800 & SE K790 have almost the same features but still alot of ppl keep complaining about the K790 performance whereas K800 opinions are rather contradictory....WHY?

hey people .. instead of a comment m posting here mi query !! any bdy using this phone in india..?? howz the clarity of camera and speaker phone..??i have never used any other cell other than nokia. key features m luking forward in mi new cell phone is camera with flash and autofocus, fm radio, good battery backup. also about itz charging pin. have heard people often face problem in chargers of SE. dunt knw please mail me ur suggestions .. it wud be a br8 help.

For the most part, your one of a few, who have been complaining about the battery life. If you bought the phone at a reputable store, then it could be a defective battery, and I would inform the store. Did you follow the instructions on charging the phone fully before use (if you don't, it will dramatically reduce the battery capability). Also, is the bluetooth set to search mode (that tends to drain the battery)?
If you didn't buy it at a reputable dealer, you might consider buying a new battery, to see if the battery still "sucks."
Unless you have done something to verify that it isn't just an isolated incedent, I know I for one, won't take your comments too seriously.
