I'm a Sony fan, but I have to admit that the NokiaN93 kick K800/790 ass.
It's features are better.

k790 appears to be around $460...not dropping, waiting for more merchants to put it on, will increase supply (lower price).
If you find any reliable sources for the phone, feel free to post!

I was a Nokia user. Now I own a K750i. Looks like Nokia N-93 though heavy going to create ripples when launched. Except for Xenon flash in SE and cheaper price there is nothing that
meets N-93. When people are quickly switching to CIF format why is SE still stuck with ancient QCIF format. Its like putting a Go-Kart engine under the hood of Ferrari.
I am seriously looking at N-93 now.
Sony Ericsson wake up,else your compititors will be far ahead and you SE guys will not be able to come off the drawing board.

I totaly disagree with your idea. Such a phone could cost around 600-700 USD
Think about the konkurent phones for the same price...
Best features DO NOT guarantee a big place in the market...

can som 1 tell me wats the handsfree with k790 or k800 ? its HPM-70 ?? i want it 2 b like the hpm70 type so that it can fit in n doesnt com out like my k750's 1.
btw wats unlocked ?? aint the normal phones unlockd ??

Absoloutely, I agree. I've always been loyal to SonyEricsson however the new n93 is definitely gonna hurt the K800. With Sony's product differentation in terms of serparating the walkman series with the K series, it appears that it may be disadvantageous. It really depends on what their goal is but i do think the combination of the two series would work in their favour

I live in the states...
I was about to buy k800 unlocked but the fact that k790 is EDGE has tipped me towards it. However, the k790 is avg. around $460 while the k800 is around $400 atm (7/26). So, I need the price to dip a bit before I really go into it.
p.s. Anyone else in the States between 790 and 800?
p.p.s. Word on the street is that the k790 will also be available through cingular (branded/locked).

if nokia is not going to give competetive price, its sure tht sony will get the market and nokia will b pushed off

oh i forgot, i will never get a Sony ericsson midrange again, a high end w k p maybe but after reading LOTS OF REVIEWS to be sure its not that crappy...
