Is anyone knows the settings for configuring yahoo mail accounts? Could anyone send me the send settings, please? I tried settings from www.sonyericsson.com but it didn't work. I bought the phone last week... I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!

Yes, the keypad on this phone is a bit different to others. On most phones, you have 3 or 4 characters on each key. On the likes of Blackberry Pearl, you have 2 characters on each key (Q & W on one key). This obviously is faster. But when using multitap, you still have to press the key twice to get 'W'.
On the P1, each button is actually two keys inside. Press the Q/W key to the left and it'll give u a 'Q'. Press it towards the right and you'll have a 'W'. This sounds a bit fiddly. I too had the same concern before getting this phone. But to be honest, I love the keypad now. It's even faster to use compared to the Pearl-style keypad. Yes, it'll take you a week or two to get used, especially if you're coming from non-qwerty keypad.
I cant comment much on the battery life 'coz I leave bluetooth on all the time, use GPRS and listen to radio/music during the day and activate WiFi when at home. But I think the battery lasts reasonably well. If you just use for normal voice calls, it should easily last 3 days.

just asking some dummy question, did p1 have the fuction of music player like those walkman phone? which mean like i can use the music player with the handphone is off ~

hey guys....just dont comment on the phone if u r unable to use the features.
just go to camera settings........and select the white balance as daylight......then see the quality of the pics.its awesome

Hi, guys. I'm having trouble with the chinese handwriting recognition. It would normally work, but when I send a chinese e-mail using hotmail with the handwriting, the receiver will get all "????????". I've only send out e-mails that come out correctly twice. Do I have to download a program?

The P1i does have the fast forward and so on as it is touchscreen and the duration bar can be accessed by simply tapping and dragging. But there is no designated button for fast forward or rewind, so the screen is the only means to access this feature.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have all the settings for MMS and Mobileweb. And am able to browse internet pages and use IM+. Was only wondering how I could get 3G speeds, whether it's something to do with the SIM.

PS: Using the existing SIM, I tried searching for networks manually. There were two "O2-UK" listed, one with 3G. Tried to register with that. Got a message - "registration is forbidden".

Hi all. I due for an upgrade with my current provider and I'm seriously thinking of getting this phone. Can someone please tell me if I can use Sat Nav on this? Does anyone use TomTom on this phone or know if you can?

Yeah, i found the same bug on my p1i.
I have R9J005 firmware. Hopefully they'll fix the issue with a new update.

Try enabling ur internet & MMS accounts by going to the control panel-connections-internet wizard. It will automatically download settings for your service provider. Another option is to go to sonyericsson.com & go to the support page. They have a step-by-step configuration tool that sends the needed settings of your provider directly to your phone.

I got this phone with a contract/upgrade with O2-UK. Although the phone is capable of 3G, and I live/work in an area where there is 3G available, I dont seem to have that active on my phone. I have to use GPRS for all the data needs.
Now, I am using an old SIM card from O2. But they sent me a new SIM card too, which says "3G" on it.
Do you guys think it's my old SIM card which is the issue? Do I need to get my number transferred to the new SIM to get 3G data transfer?
Any pointers would be much appreciated as to why I'm not able to get 3G?

After firmware upgrade I can not only a part of a wallpaper, before youy could move the picture with the stylus.Anyone else encountered this issue?
