Make sure that WLAN is enabled. Click on the black triangles at the top left corner of the screen & select connections-WLAN. Once u r in the WLAN screen, tap MORE & enable WLAN. Tap on the SCAN button on the screen to start scanning for wlan connections in the hotspot.
The phone should immediately detect present connections & their corresponding configurations. Just tap to a present network & tap CONNECT. A pop-up msg will appear once u r connected.

to manage the 3g, you need to go to control panel/connections/mobile networks/go to "More" and click the GSM/3G

Someone pls help me set up my WLAN so I can get and send emails via a hot spot ! Also for web browsing. It's abit complicated compared to Windows Mobile and Series 60. Thanks .

how long does your p1's battery works?
mine is about 2 or 3 days for normal usage like sms ,listening to music for about 3-4 hours ,talking . with out music for more than 3 days ....
but if i use WLAN and gprs it'll work for 1 or 2 dayes max

I know this phone in not intended for multimedia but its camera although 3.2 MP is very slow and the ugly green tint in the upper right corner is spoiling my pics.there is no option of turning on/off the camera light like i used to my K750.

hey buddy's of p1i....can someone pls explain me what are the unique features of this phone,from other famous HP unit...i wonder why everybody gettin crazy on this stuff...huh! sounds exagerated,but it does!.absolutely they are fascinated to have this one on their collection of good "junks" as they say...not to mention i also do...im not really into tech-e phone,but some things like this caught up my attention,that sometimes i've got to think to have this one...
any feedback to my concern would be much appreciated..thank's a lot..

I do not know why you friend told you that. But there is so many firmwares for this phone. The recent ones are very stable, I'm guessing he or she is trying to tell you to check which firmware it has. Doesn't really matter as you can upgrade it yourself, but it's good to know what you need or want(ex:language pack, etc.) before you buy.

first i saw this handset from one of my buddys..it looks cool,but recently i just received an email from one of my friend whom i asked for opinion before purchasing a unit...he told me to keenly check up the unit before buying it..i would like to ask,why does he told me so of this...is there any not so good features in HP...

The battery life is quite an issue. I have the wlan off when I dont use it.. but could you tell me where is the option to switch of the 3g option?

just bought my p1i this month (2 monthsafter i've lost my k800i) and im loving it. just need some help herecoz i need additonal applications for my phone, you see sis filesaren't compatible w/ p1. im from the philippines, where can i get/ download free anti virus and/ or multimedia applications?
