I thank P1i for posting all their comments..
With all the drawbacks i have read, I rather defer for some time the plan to buy this unit, or possibly, not to buy it at all.

And that's not the only problem... They also know about the needed flash player for UIQ but the programmers at sony ericsson still aren't listening to the P1 users. I really hope they get their acts together coz this is one great phone & if they could solve these problems, this phone would be even greater.

hey guys bad news i went to sony ericsson and ask them about the green tint with the pics and they said they recgonized the prob but they dun have any solutions =/...

The P1i is stable. If your phone isn't stable, then you need to return it to where you bought it & have it replaced (if you still have a warranty)
The P1i is region coded depending on the CDA version. The most stable versions are the phones with WORLD GENERIC FIRMWARE. I have World Generic 1 firmware in my phone & i NEVER had any problems with it.

Hi all!
I recently did an update of the phone thru the SE Update Service. My firmware is now:
Phone: R9J005
Bluetooth: R1D
Organizer: R6F41
CDA: R6F38
Here are some of the things that i noticed after the upgrade:
1. The phone has around 75mb at start-up
2. Menus are actually faster to open & transitions are actually faster. I switched the transitions ON coz unlike before they are actually quite appealing now, you will actually see the difference. There is really a DRASTIC INCREASE of speed.
3. The camera layout has been changed & the camera automatically adjusts the level of exposure during low light conditions.
4. When using dark themes, handwriting now have white borders to differentiate your words from the background.
5. Has a new Opera browser version. But i use the Opera Mini coz its actually better.
6. File Manager is much much, much faster than before.
7. The Green tint with the pictures taken by the camera is still there. There is still NO search function in contacts.

what can i do to change the language in the CREATE MESSAGE mode...should i change the firmware? pls help ... pls .. pls ..

Gr8 phone to use, but lacks the appeal of a PDA, more over seems like SE has taken older m600 and added a 3.2 mp camera and features and o/s of the p9901, truely lacks appeal..

finally i was able to know my firmware ..
my camera is slow responding and also the handwriting recognition it is also slow .. is this normal?

my browser is getting disconected while wrighting mail.if i press send mail after writing mail its saying that invalid session.but for browsing normal visiting sites its allowing to continu.so please helpme out

What about these two in Firmware?

CONFUSION....
the feedback of u guys is driving me crazyyyyyyyyy.Some people are saying that this fone does not hang or restart while some ppl(eg Nasserr) are saying that this fone hangs and restarts..wat is the real story????
does the fone hanggg and restart???
