aki, 18 Mar 2009i'm so worried about viruses so that is why i never install... moreit is very safe to save applications on this phone. from my xperience, it didn't suffer from any viruses (maybe because the OS is not winmo based). try also to apply an anti-virus software if u r that bothered.

i'm so worried about viruses so that is why i never install any applications on my p1.can somebody tell me the possibilities if p1 ever get infected by viruses and what happens if it does?spams are everywhere.

It support animated links, directly in www.sonnyericsson.com they have some of them that you can use, if you use another page be carefull because they can have virus that distroy the software and you can lose your info like happens to me.

tracermack, 18 Mar 2009does it support animated themes??? if so, any links? :) tnxno, it cannot support animated theme or animated wallpaper.
you can only use animated screensaver on P1i

i've been using this phone for 4months now and i'm so happy with the performance.battery life is excellent.it lasted for 4days with frequent calls and messaging.i just love this phone.i never upgrade the firmware so i think its best to keep it original.by the way, how can i watch youtube online?i have installed the coreplayer but it says unsupported.are there any other programs apart from coreplayer?

formatting the Phone is different from formatting the memory card
if you want to format the memory card: go to control panel>other>Format Memory stick
-this will delete all the files on your memory card.
If you want to format the Phone: go to control panel>other>master reset
-this will delete all the settings on the phone, thus restoring it to factory setting
I suggest you do the SE update rather than doing a master reset.
note: some mods are not affected by the master reset or the SE update, you must delete it individually. Those mods are actually recognized by the phone as the "default factory settings"

Im planning to buy this cool stuff but w... moreyes the UIQ3 OS is discontinued, but the latest firmware is very stable compared to nokia (im not bashing.)
released applications are more than enough to address all the needs and more are still popping up every week.
All the mods available that improves the performance and usability of this phone are not official releases anyway, it comes from modders that have this phone.
