i already said that there is nothing bad in this set
as i have to think i have to sale ya change this set
i m telling u the differance thats fact what i wrote
here if u have 910i or 990i but with R9F then compare it which is fast?
about Ram if u r using swiss manager pro then check
what is the actual space of the ram and how much is
free for use user available memory? thats the main fault is
in this set Ram problem
alarm sound was also good in R9F dont think so
R9G is faster cant receive or make the call in R9G without
flip but this thing was avail in R9F
Transaction online is not the key feature ;-) and also not supported here
opera new version but with lot of problems this same thing was in R9F
but this is solveable no problem but thats true R9F is good
again i will say who is using R9F dont go for R9G

is there fiture text to speech ,like in E61i . so if i lazy to read sms the phone will read and speak it sms .so i can listen the phone saying my sms .reply pls thanks

Rp.3.650.000 is about us $ 401 . is there fiture zoom when view photo in photo album or must instal 3rd party software ? which one often hangs n9500 or p990i ?

now i use se z530,it's very fast internet using opera mini (8 second to open full gsmarena,is it fast?), next tomorrow i want buy new phone my option P990i and nokia E61i . can u tell me which 1 better?tell me plus and minus? can u install opera mini in p990i ,coz it's fast and cheap for using on gprs? can p990i doing zoom while capturing video and can it zoom
and full screen while playing video?can it zoom when we set to high or 2mp camera when capture photo (coz in k700 or z530i can't zoom when capture photo if i set to high photo quality or highest pixel)?
is the sound loud enough (coz i often can't hear ringtone on my se phone so soft ) ?

Really, Really happy with this model. Apart from all of its other qualities really love the supports/updates/downloads that I get on the sony website. Few vital minuses, low sound speakers and there is no conversation recorder. But for such a low cost, am very happy.

Does anyone knows the 4G memory stick duo was available in the real sony market? in china many store sell 4g memory but people told me that this products was unreal cause when we run this memory it will appears 4g and when we copy data to the memory stick it can't receive untill 4g capacity data. Does anyone know this is true or lies? Helps

After research finally i choose this p990 phone from other candidat such as 02,nokia base on smart n pda phone. price for this phone now is competitive with the full fuction when installing n update firmware/software. P1 just win the camera 3Mp ,memory higher than p990, design n batery. other feature is same. Let's see qwerty keyboard in p990 better than P1. Viva P990i

why would you tell people not to upgrade firmware?
these are some of the improvements of the new firmware as observed by P990i users.
* More Ram - ~16MB at startup
* Fast startup
* Overall fast response to applications and menus
* Browser is fast (new opera version)
* Camera improved - auto focus more responsive, better video recording
* New icons for .jar or .sis in file explorer
* Gallery preview is no more blurry
* Music update is faster
* Auto key lock is default now
* Alarm is loud and at a constant level
* A new menu has been added under control panel - others: payment transactions
anyways if you're happy with your firmware, thats good for you.
any other P990i users out there who are happy with their current firmware, you can stay with it if you want. as long as you're satisfied.
im just sharing the improvement that new firmware will give.

R9F011 is good then R9G007 there is lot of things
change in R9G007 one of my Friend has R9F and i have
R9G so what i feel R9F is good who is using R9F dont
upgrade ur firmware
There is nothing bad in this set as i have to think
for change this set N95 N93i N92 N73 N70 no one can
beat or compete P990i P990i is best

Mr. Neo - It is expected to drop price of P990i considering that this unit was already in the market for almost a year now (or so). I bought my unit the very first day it was launched in KSA first week of October last year (2006) and it costs me 3,000 Saudi Riyals. However, I heard that all units available in the Philippines are re-conditioned from China that's the reason also why price is 14,000 pesos while in KSA still around 19,000 pesos.

lloyd - Up to 8GB is supported. It mentioned clearly in the User Manual. If you are still planning to buy P990i, I would recommend to wait either W960 or P1. There's nothing wrong with P990i but this unit is pretty old already. I am using mine for 10 months already. P1 is a better alternative or even N95 as I am using as well.
