Hey.. I love this phone.. Got it yesterday and it rocks to the base... This small communication device oozes with amazing features and everything seems to be perfect.. though i can't work up with my WI-Fi... Can somebody please tell me how to Activate the Wi-fi Browser..?? Otherwise the camera is too good for 2 megapixel and the sound quality for music is also amazing... but the speakerphone for calling is not good.. I found it to be a little slow... and somebody please advice me for the memory usage. What kinda card should i take? 1, 2, or 4 Gigs.

yes you can capture as long as you want videos and my recordings depending on what you set your camera saving preference for. uncover lens to get camera application, tap on settings and scroll right to find "save to" from there choose "memoey.stick. pref.". all videos will try to save on your mem. stick, if its full it will auto save to phonr memory. apply these setting in the my recordings application as well.
and yes there chinese text on p990 from south east asia (my phone is from singapour) - TIP - by pressing the bottom right button on your keybourd (the one with the up arrow) together with the space bar - you can easily switch from english latin to chinese input.

S.O.S !!! anyone can ley me know, how long can i capture my video & voice recording ? its depend card memory size or phone default ? can this phone support chinese input ? ( currenty is english vesion ) thxx....

to help me please...
do the proper removing process of ur USB, u can see the "safely remove hardware" (with a green arrow) icon at the right bottom screen of ur PC.

I have been waiting for a Sony Ericson P990 or P990i for two months. Everytime I visit MTN support centre at Morningside they tell me they have ordered or the relevant phone did not come with the order. They place orders every week according to their information and the phone is never available onstock. Can you advise what the problem is please.Im desperate.I dont want to take any other phone except Sony ericson phones, esp. P990/P990i.I have been using Sony ericson phones fora while and am happy with them but I cannot stay for months without a phone. Please help!!!!!!

after exploring my P990i about 1 mounth , I just can say this phone is good . Perfect.
3G enable(running well).Wi-Fi(running well). Radio (of course running well).
Does any other provider has a same device like P990i ?
Nokia E90 ? can not copared !

can you please post here the latest (url/link) firmware you've installed in your p990Is? my unit hunged 4x now since purchasing it just yesterday... all i did was browse through its features and have'nt done much so far since i'm still not yet familiar with all its functions, and the last time was by trying-out its video call...
help please!

not even close...i dont tink it will have the same problem with the p910 coz if u look to its keypad u will see that its firm and not that easy to break...firm and solid...

1 more thing is that when i always send messages, then go back to standby mode by pressing the back button...its still open when i check it in the task menu....damn im really pissed...isnt it the proper way to close the message folder?by hitting the back button.....or is it just me.....

tnkz for the info....another thing........in the task menu...i cannot seem 2 find close button for the applications you used in the flip close...only in flip open menu and im really pissed off everytime a free some ram that i will always do it the hard way by opening the flip then go to task and close it....if anybody knows how to free ram in the flip close pls......help
