It's rubbish.It often resets to "enhance performance",even during calls.I have removed all alarms, yet it still goes off at 4.30 am.It often freezes, and I have to take the battery off in order to get it working again.It often drops calls.I never had any problems with my Nokia's!

whats wrong if the phone is made in china its not a big deal where it came from. china is now one of the largest producer of quality celphone.

@ cherry, there is a saying "the bigger the happier u will be, the longer the yummyier, uhmmm". dont u know it?, r u not yet married? anyway go for it becuase its a nice gadget and have more features. try buying the R9 version. the firmware is continuously updating for the better.

i don't know if i should buy this phone. its really nice and cheap nowadays. but my main gripe about it is that it is 1 inch thick! OMFG! 1 inch. I love the specs. But 1 inch... man... phones these days are thinner than that. But its really cheap. But it is 1 inch! waaahhh.. T.T don't know what to do. To buy or not to buy. That indeed is the question. Anyone wanna help, answer? (Confused)
and, is the firmware problems really fixed already? Some say it is. Some say it isn't. I'm really confused. Is it faster after a firmware upgrade to the latest? as in fast--responsive?

hi.....im from iran/tehran,i want to buy SE p990i,but i have a problem,all p990i in this country have been made in china with the france lable on them.i want to know the p990i made in china is a orginal or not?or this model have a bug?

Hi guys, I updated my firmware to R9F011 and I have been facing problems since then. The volume of the alarm is very low and the opera browser is not working properly.Do anyone else have the same problems? How can I fix them? Please help.

@bose,,,..yeah that's the problem of p990i. better update the firmware to R9F011. regarding the battery, turn off the screen saver and the 3G to save battery power.

To anyone who can help!
Hi, I just bought the phone for 3 weeks. The problem I faced are:
1) Super Slow
2)MP3 files skipped automatically while playing.
3)Auto restart sometimes.
4) Battery sucks.
Kindly advice is this symtoms are normal?
Even I cannot update the latest firmware. Pls help.

Never again shall I use Nokia! This phone is my baby! It is the best phone I have ever used! The symbian os on it is way faster than that of Nokia aswell!

I just had my mobile firmware updated a few days ago and I still have it at R9F011. solves a lot of the glitches I have been experiencing. Still no news on when theyre releasing PC Suite for Vista? They've been telling me that it should be released within the second quarter of this year, yet still nothing... :(

LoDp: COuldnt have made a better decision myself *grin* Have fun with your 990i! Im loving mine... every single minute its on my hands. :)
P-Series: Your problem sometimes happens when you install an application that has the same functionality as the built in programs in the phone. For examply, I installed a an MP3 player called Unreal Player on my P910i, and whenever I click on an Mp3 for it to play, it would give out that error. What I do is, I open the application that I downloaded on to the phone and open the music file from there... it should work. :) And also check that the software that youre uploading on to your phone is made for the Symbian UIQ OS.
Shawn: If you would rather not use the disc2phone software that SE packages with your phone, you can creat the folders and place the Mp3s in it, yourself. You do this by opening the Music folder on your MS Duo card then creating Subfolders of Artists names, then create subfolders in the Artists' folder and name them according to the album of the certain Mp3 you want to store. Open the "album" bub-folder and copy your Mp3 file there. Repeat for other artists and albums. That should enable you to use the music players sorting capabilities. :)
