I downloaded songs from limewire mp3 format and it wont let me drag and drop. It trys to copy and then says ERROR COPYING on every one of them ? What do I do

Thanks alot there. Yea. Have to say the world renowned "plastic feel" of nokia models ( not all at least ) really is a drawback which will hold people back from purchasing their almost superior phones. But then again $ plays an important factor here. So P990i here i come!!!!!! =P

If youre a previous P910i user like I am, there sure is a lot to get used to upon your migration to the P990i. a lot more key presses for them otherwise mundane task for the P910i. But for what its worth, the improvement from the P910i is simply enormous. Thank God for the better keypad! I dont know about you guys but im sure youve noticed the P910's keypad was just so prone to cracking and breaking right in the upper center of the keypad module which bends the whole flip when you SMS or dial a number... and turns the character entering a haywire of sorts! (What I did was I went to Semicon, coaxed one of the sales person to trade the cracked portion of my keypad to that of their dummy unit. And it worked! hehehe!) My P990 still manages to turn a few heads (despite its being in the market for more than a year) and is definitely smart enough to do a whole lot. A true marriage of beauty and brains. *grin*

I agree with you on the touch screen being more suitable for internet browsing. You just dont have the same maneuvering capabilities on a joystick or keypad compared to a touch screen. Here in the Philippines (Cebu City), the price of the P990i is absurdly low... I was this close to getting a N95 or a N93i, but I couldnt get myself to buy something as tacky (my very humble opinion) as a Nokia in all its plastic-ky glory especially after the price drop on the P990i (roughly around $330 US here, could be even way cheaper in Sim Lim in Singapore). So LoDp after much consideration, you might just find yourself a happy camper with the P990i after all. Cheers!
For the one asking about a comparison on the N73 and P990's cameras... The former has a 3.15mp camera (marketed as 3.2MP) and the SE P990i has 2MP camera. I have a couple of friends who have the N73 and compared to the pictures I took with my P990i, it definitely delivered better pictures. But by no means is the picture quality of the P990i bad. It actually takes awesome pictures for a 2MP class mobile phone camera. If there is anything to be expected from the SonyEricsson line is that it will, at the very least, give you great pictures and great music. :)
Lastly... a little tip. when getting a new P990 phone or periodically checking a P-series, you might want to do this. (I take no responsibility for whatever happens to your phone if you run this as this is a technician diagnostic tool for the P series phones... especially if you accidentally choose to reformat your internal memory) With the jog dial and the asterisk key on the key pad, do this sequence.... Move jog dial up one notch, then press asterisk key, press jog dial down 2 notches, then asterisk key, then one notch down again on the jog dial and lastly an asterisk key. (up,*,down,down,*,down,*) This will bring out the service menus. There you have the option of running the service test which will check almost all the aspects of your phone. from keypads, to internal speakers, to the touchscreen. This will also show you software version information. Please take extreme caution on the last menu item which will format your internal disk. Ive never opened it and Im not about to find out. press the back key to exit it. on the older P series models, you might have to restart your phone. Cheerios!!!

ok, people, for prices of phones in greenhills manila, philippines, check out http://www.greenhills.com.ph/cellphonegalore.asp uhh and as you will see here,p990i sells at 16,500 php. That is roughly umm.. 330 USD or less. So, its a bargain. considering this phone was initially much much more expensive. Need I mention that you can bargain for a cheaper price in greenhills? ;)

Hi All,
I am facing a mystrious problem in P990i that when a 50 MB video file is playing in the phone and in the midway i try to iadjust the volume,The device frequently gets hanged ,in times the voice is coming from the back ground with black fore ground...Can any one help me out...Mine firmware is R9F011...Can any one tell me when the next Firmware will come out...

Hi all,
Had gone to buy N95 but on seeing the demo changed my mind. The fabrication is plasticy and cheap. The silver finish will wear out after a month or so. Disappointed with Nokia. Bought P990 updated firmware n bingo its gr8. Will take a week gettin used to as P910i was my phone earlier.

@ SAM, the one with "quickshare" is the original one. "P990i" was a typographical error. the head machine operator love P990i so much that he printed "P990i" in the printing machine template. the errorneous production continious and they live happily ever after (according to legend) ;-)

Thanks for the feedback there. Well yea im very comfortable with a keypad but then again a touch screen would be more accustomed to surfin am i right? Initially i was going for the N95 but the features doesnt really justify the price IMHO and the hardware issues are really a let down. Another thing is that the local price for the P990i is really really tempting. Btw, Im from Malaysia. Hopeto get some feedback. Cheers! =P

dont buy this, buy the se p1, is the same but more smaller, and have 128mb of ram this have 64mb. and more great things
