hi guyz..
can anybody tell me how long does it takes 2 update d software..i kept it fr 25 minutes and not a single percent was done...plz let me knw...
and if it takes longgggggg time thn shud i keep on updation and go 2 sleep or i need 2 check d progress in between??????

hello....just wondering why prices for p990i is dropping though it seems to be a do it all phone..price here in dubai is at 1900 and that comes with a bundle of freebies,i.e. bluetooth headset and tickets for a waterpark...why?is it simply because its been more than a year since it was released? or some unsolve issues with its software?
anyway, if you buy the phone here in dubai now does it pack a new updated version of firmware?

Endless glitches and many small problems spoil this otherwise average phone. Often freezes, backlight can slowly fade off, and if u get a call in middle of performing a function, like changing interphase, whole thing stuck.Gotta swithch off and restart.Why does it take SO long to restart ? reception not good either. Lots of functions, but poor internal memory.

to update your SE Phone, go to sonyericsson.com and select your region, then go to the support area and there you will find the update service... select your phone model and follow the instructions then your done ^_^ its easy^^ just be sure to back up your important files though, coz if u update ur phone, it will all be erased... the latest firmware cause the alarm to be softer that the R9 version, no doubt about it.

hey guyz im using my p990i for the first time can you guys tell me if i can upgrade my firmware to any latest firmware in SE's website, even if i have unbranded one? i have firmware ver. R9EC001, is it alright? coz my phone is always on usb, when i restart my phone it is gone, but a few minutes later it'll pop-up again...!i love the sounds, the alarm, the tones, everything... but a little bit slow, and yes that USB...how can i turn it off??? and 1 more how to turn on the flash light when you are on video mode? is it possible? please i really need your help guyz,i really love all SE phones but i want to fix the error in my phone... oh and what is the latest firmware ver. for my k800i and w810i in SE's website? coz i wanna upgrade my other phone too... thanks...!SE rules, Nokia? um...er...no thanks... i had enough... ;)

the alarm was so loud for me guys, I bouht this 2nd hand and went to Sony Ericsson so they can check the phone for me and upgraded it to the latest software...I was happy... very fast and reliable in every feature it has!

there are only 3 UIQ phones at the moment and P1 will add to the list in the future. so the lack of sofware support is a huge concern but after P1's release 'm prety sure they could be even more. bad thing motorola collaborates with the UIQ utilization, but i's not a touchscreen version so it's useless. they even make another standards alone=( unlike before(so will there be any softwares for UIQ 3.1 as it is on UIQ 3?) if only motorola incorporates UIQ 3 instead, then UIQ 3 software support will be better.

hey..i have used the M600 for a while now and i found the software on it really slow...i wanted to go in for the P990 now...what i wanted to know is, weather the latest update has improved the speed of the software(also the loudspeaker volume)..and do the applications still have to be closed manually thru task manager (I found this part really frustrating cause when the RAM was full the phone use to restart)...pls som1 help me out soon....thnx

seems like previous P990 future buyers who have ditched this thing like a hell because of the software problems repored by those who have used the early versions have reverted towards the interest for P990. seems like some people have already discerning the recent improvements and the defuncted interest caused by the previous problems are are now being gone little by little. keep up the good work SE..=D

to update ur fone u need 2 download the update service frm se website suport section.please ensure u have the latest flash player. and hold c button on your fone when needed.simple...enjoy...i surf web daily thru my fone. forget your pc. this baby can do every thing ...surfing net...chating..amazin mp3 & video player....3d games...word excel...camera....ultimate..

Try contacting SE cuz u might have received a lemon unit. I would recommend updating ur p990i. u can update ur phone by downloading the software update program at SE's website.
