N73 user,
Battery life is teriffic on this device. Although when u first buy the unit, it doesnt hold charge for that long but gradually it starts holding the charge. obviously if u are using all the features (i.e. bluetooth, camera, flash, WLAN etc.) then the standby time goes down significantly. I use bluetooth and WLAN a lot and i find myself charging the phone every OTHER day and sometimes its not even drained all the way.
Camera result wont be as great as ur N73 thats forsure but for some reason all the Nokias have a "blueish/greyish" look in their pics, u wont be seeing that in the p990i.
Sound quality is terrible on a speakerphone (compared to p910 or even p800 if u have ever used any of those). I was really disappointed in the quality of she speaker. U can hardly hear any bass and on top of that it wasn't loud enough. Although with the most recent software update the mp3 playback and ringtones through the speaker have gone loud (yes there is a significant difference). Still the update has not helped in "improving" the sound quality through the speakers.
FM radio can only be heard through the headphones provided with the phone (as the headphones have the transmitter in it). Mp3 playback is awesome on the headset. I use my bluetooth stereo headset once in a while and the sound quality is simply amazing (better than my ipod nano).
I dont use my phone for playing games so i wont be of much help in that but it came with a few games n i played the golf game once in a while which seem to be all right.
Make sure to download the latest update as it made my phone SUPER FAST and it helps a lot to browse thru the menus. Cheers!

hi, i am an old fan of S.E, i bought p990i, but this phone have a problem that it stucks and its taskbar used to lost , a black bar appear in its place, then i cann't see singnals, batery, silent mode , lock key , nothing only black area. now when i open the flip the bar appears and after some time it disappear and again black bar seen. :} now if i close the bar appear and goes again. can some one help . thanks in advance. take care

i m user of nokia n73 now i m planning to buy p990 so i want to know how is bettery life.camera result ,sound quality,during play fm and mp3 song we can use other application like gprs or games.pls tell me thnx

The picture from bluetooth goes to the Messages, where sms are. Click on it and choose save, then it goes to the pictures section.

the phone is fantastic, it meets all of my expectations, everything about it is just perfect, except some "bugs" i already knew about...notice that the alarm volume rises continuously and is meant to be low at the start in order not to scare you. I have one question though: I received a picture via blueetooth. I enter messaging and select download...what happens with the picture, where does it go ?

NOOR the phone price if i know it depends on your country. For my country(Cambodia), the SE P990i =USD 345 but i see in plemix.com the up to date price is USD 329

To all UIQ 3 users
once you have the phone software updated with R9 and the version of the "organizer" being R5xxx or R6xxx. turn off the menu animation(transitions) so that the RAM won't beget problems i.e. memory leaks. and perform faster that can even par P910's performance.

This Mobile is simply great,plzzz stop writing bad comments about this nice mobile phone,if anybody having problem with this phone simply update this phone,and you will feel the diffrence,it's not only P990i every mobile PDA phone is having problem in its first firmware,but it will be solved in the future updates,not only P series But N series from Nokia is also having the same problem,and the answer to this problem is update ur phone.nothing else

hi everyone! i am form malaysia !i also se p990 user but i want to ask information about se upgarde i got visited the update but at my region ! the phone is singapore !genetric 8 is still same firmware (CXC162037 R9EA001 ) have anyone in my country suceed ugrade newer firmware than CXC162037 R9EA001 ?R9F............?hope can reply me promtly! i want to know how does this new firmware peformance ,still present rebooting ,memory lack or hang? thankz!

To ALL who r trying to find the update. You have to go to SE's website and download their service update program (which can be found easily using the search bar on the site). Make sure your phone is fully charged.
I updated my fone several times but I never had a problem before like the one i had yesterday. Stupid program wouldnt go any further than 92%. After 6 hrs of being stuck at 92% i had to restart my comp and I restarted the program n prayed to god that my fone still worked. im glad that it did the trick.
I would recommend that you shut down all ur programs (or restart ur pc) before doing the update so it doesnt conflict with anything. Leave the SIM inside the phone (unlike the previous edition SE wanted the SIM to be removed from the phone). Hope this helps!
P.S. This new update ROCKS! my fone is SUPER FAST.
