you have just knew my real name afterall. anyway, P700 is not P990's real successor instead M600. there will be two successors of this M-phone, first will be M610, other one is this one(P700) but we can't tell yet if these two rumored devices is only one because they are extremely similar. P990's successor is to be released months and months more maybe next year or who knows if it will be announced on symbian show at october=D. just expecting the memory of this P990 successor to be 256Mb because RAM is extremely important for all it's functions.

Very good phone after upgrading to the latest firmware. 64 MB Ram is not enough for the phone especially as you will have only 25% of the ram avaliable after starting the phone! The processor is 208 MHz which is acceptable.
The only disadvantage is NO VOIP until now!
Conclusion: good phone if you keep it update.

does all new stocks of P990i in the market has the latest and updated firmware, the one that's makes the cell phone no longer crashes and hangs??? when will the new successor of P990i will come out in the market? will i wait or will i buy now the P990i????

To: Kenneth - Thanks for your post for the forthcoming P700. What I am waiting for is the next P-series after P990. I've been using P990 since early October 2006 and I really wanted to replace it with the next P-series, but not P700 which I think P990 is more sophisticated than P700. How I wish that next P-series (not P700)already a cyber-shot, screen is 3.0", 5Megapixel with xenox flash, 16 million colors, 30fps video recording, 160 internal memory, dual stereo speaker, walkman player feature (remains touchscreen, 416 or 520 MHz speed with higher RAM and ROM)with a built-in video player such as DiVx player or Smartmovie player as a third party software. If it has 3.0" screen,QWERTY keyboard should be slider (like i-mate JASJAM). If P700 is just like SE's successor or P990, definitely I'm not going to replace my P990.

just update the firmware to the latest, everything is faster BUT the alarm is so so so soft, dun think it will wake me up :-)

on tuesday, there will be some announcements from SE, this will include three UIQ models, one walkmans two business and two non-OS ones and P700 is one of them.

I was using P800, P910 over a year.
Now P990.
What I'm saying - P990 with the new firmware is a gr8 phone, very fast. I don't get it - how can't you say who's calling you by number? What do you mean there's no equalizer in P990? I don't really understand you, sorry.
But really - if you explore P990 you'll like it. I'm sure. These phone is good.
P.S. Address book is actually better in P990, at least for me :-)

shakeel doministry is right all you got to do is explore your phone i will give you one hint go to set up wizard and run it the calibaration step is there and your list is long but 80 percent is there so explore and pls dont compare 910 with 990 cus 990 is a 3g phone if you have used the phone from start (if not read the comments)the 910 also got better with upgrades so relax man this is a good phone.

ye u probably had a battery prob but its gonna fix so no worries... i bought my p990 from dubaii so its tgot the newest upgrading and its very very fast not like other ones... ive never had any probs its been funtioning exellent and i recently bought a 4gb memory card and its gr8:)

This is kind of strangest post I've seen and a lot complete wrong info you write about P990. Maybe you write about the different phone??
Anyways of course you can save any picture or website in Opera. But man - if you use this kind of phone - EXPLORE IT!!!

phone book is not good like 910
990 screen always flicks as long for we use the internet
speaker volume or ear peace volume is low then 910 also written in Sonyericsson site
cant check the call log by click on next its moved to jog dial in 990
no calibration setting in 990
we cant set equalizer as we want in 990 thats just by name
MP3 sound is not good like 910
we cant check in 990 the number which number by caller is calling

There is more bad things but i dont want to remind my self thats set is

Problem 1
-when takin a video, it paused!!! is like making a cartoon movie!!!
Solution:
-lower the resolution & pricture size.
Problem 2
-It is definitely slow!!!! may be because of the huge built in programs.
Solution:
-I update the program and buy 2 GB memory card
-AND ITS FASTER NOW!!
-I STILL LOVE SONY!!! NOKIA ARE FOR UNCIVILIZED PEOPLE!!

the cheapest p990 that i saw here in the phil. is 20K.... the price ranges from 20K-27K
