hi..i want to buy p990 but i don't know it's a good phone or not?every body say this phone hangs a lot?is that true?what phone i can buy with this price?somebody help please..i'm so confused..

I just wrote few posts ago - YES you can edit and create Excel files. You have Quickoffice - you can also create Word docs, and view also Pdf and Quickpoint.

i have set my brightness to 0% i already talked to my dealer and they said that he will change my battery.. with reagrd to the update, did you have diffuclites upgrading it?

As I know there are no plans to apply any built in GPS receiver in P990. But you can just buy the receicer and have it.

First things first.I know its exciting when you first open the box after you've bought it,but charge the battery for the required time before you start fiddling.I know its hard but you wont regret it.Secondly,half the time I think most these people with all these problems dont know how to use this phone.People expect millisecond responses from their symbian phones and you just wont get it.You gotta have patience and slow your mind down.Find a rhythem with your phone.Its not as slow as you think it is half the time.Its just that your mind is working so fast and your expectations are to high.My P990i started off with some niggly problems,but for some reason without an firmware update its just settled down nicely and seems to have sorted itself out.Its a cool phone,no questions asked.Just use it properly.

the battery life is gr8 only if u change de brightness 2 50% then it can go 4 a very long time i had no probs so far and it an exellent phone

i download avantgo .app.sis but i can not tranfered to my phone.
if i transfered by bluethooth it dose not work too.

i have a p990i i can say that its battery life is very very bad. last night i charged my fone and then when i woke up a while ago the life is only 64%! but i haven't been using it because i am asleep which is weird. I am now thinking if i would sell it and buy n75 music edition instead. any suggestions? i have also configured it to save battery like adjusting the brightness to 0%!! no imporvement though and i am not even using it for long hourse of fone calls.

evrry thing looks coola abt this gizmo , wht i am interested to knwo is am a bit worried abtthe battery drainage , and it wud be nice if i can get a feed baCK AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE :)

I have this phone...it is total disapointment to me.So much bugs...very slow...I will never buy SE again.I have only SE phones for almost 5 years...but no longer!

guys anyone heard about new p-series? my friend at sony style attended metting yesterday and there was a pic of new PDA that sony is aiming to launch in 3rd quarter.
according to the representative, it will be equiped with current 3.2mp camera with auto focus,xenon flash and one led to be used as red eye reduction as well as torch.
the design of the phone is somewhat similar to p910i without flip but more of roundy shaped as it had a sliding qwerty keyboards my friend said.
hope it will soon be up on gsmarena with more info. SE must take this opportunity seriously as to become 3rd in the mobile industry.

Phone has great features. Dislike that Phone often shuts down while using touchscreen. Camera lens cover opens too easily when removing phone from magnetic case. Inactivity phone lock feature should have settings for inactive time adjustment
