i hv just purchased the phone, i was disappointed tose tha the incoming calls ony display he contact name a where in P910i
number n name bth were displayed ?
anyone in here knows how can i hv both things on display

For anyone thinking about purchasing this phone
"BUY IT NOW" Its a great smartphone the reception is excellent and don't let a couple of poor reviews turn u away from this great product. sure it might be slow at times but the cost and feature set make this tiny inconvience easy to forget. and like a earlier poster said EXPLORE...

you can do that by un checking the flight mode!!!
here is the sequence go to TOOLS-CONTROL PANEL-DEVICE-FLIGHT MODE THEN UNCHECK IT OKI.
and for you to know everything about this phone? do you know christopher columbus? what he did why he discovered america? he "

Thanks man. I am very glad after read your answers :). I hope SE can make new fw which is perfect for p990.
But about bluetooth v.2.0, Previously i had w850 which has bluetooth v.2.0 too like p990, and its has run normally if it was transfered files from my laptop. Why? (maybe doministry can help also?)
And once again. My ringtone and message alert sometime changed it self to be default. Why?
But overall, i am satisfy enough right now.

Hi everyone,
I bought this device 6 months ago, bottom line it's the WORST. For the following reasons:
1- it's slow, sometimes very slow. Also very slow at startup
2- it hangs and sometimes it restarts itself.
3- many times, when you open any application it gives error and closes.
4- support is very bad.
5-when you have enough and you want to sell it, you loose more than half the price.
I advise everyone to not buy this piece of junk.

1-well actualy i didn't face this problem or heared about it but have you tried to update your bluetooth driver in your laptop 'cause P990i has v2.0 maybe it's not fully compaitable with older ones
2-and to the WiFi issue i've faced the same problem it's too hard to connect a hotspot but when it's connected it's ok but throw my experience if the signal is good (tow bars or full) the chances of getting connected is better
3-this noise is normal i don't know why but all the p990 users are suffering the same problem i've sent many complaints to SE and explained every problem i"ve faced by E-mail and they keep telling me "go to your SE retailer" and when i go to the retailer he couldn't do anything i'm sorry for not being a big help

As soon as I will check it I'll let you know. Because until then I also had this problem. And didn't have time to go to any SE place to ask. In fact I was able to connect to hotspot when I had R7. It may be a software problem or my lack of knowledge.
Usually I use 3G.

1. Upgrade your phone
2. Close all the applications which you don't use in the Task Manager. It looses the RAM memory so the phone does not hang or restart.

I got the same problem with moh3n when i use WLAN.
i can't browse even the network say it "CONNECTED".
The phone said
' could not locate remote server

What should i do?

This phone has the problem of reseting itself. seell this phone . My phone had teh same problem. SE990 is a defected model. I got it checked several times through warranty but same problem. SELL This CRAP!!

I have some questions for you:
1. After upgraded to R9EC001, my bluetooth is not stable. if it transfered file from laptop, bluetooth in my laptop is hang. when bluetooth adapter was unplug, its working again, why?
2.Wifi is not stable too. slow and always disconnected. it's hard to connect to hot spot
3. When i am listen the music/radio and i press handsfree button at my hf, sound is muted but noisy sound in my hf's speaker is appears,why
Need your answer ASAP. because i always thinking it and have sleepless cause of that.

hi
I bought a wireless router for my house, ADSL ones!
I connected to it with WLAN in the phone, (and it showe CONNECTED), but I couldn`t open pages via my browser!
I tried all situations but I got no Answer!
WPA, WEP or so...!
would you please help me.

Please buddies help me - my P990i keeps on resetting itself almost on a daily basis :( I had it a few times at the local SE repare shop and they've toled me there is nothing what they can do. I must wait for new software or something and they will contact me as soon as it is out :( . Any ideas because I am getting fed up with all this. It never worked properly since I bought it (januay this year)

hi guyz,
please i need some serious help with the sms on the p990i, what happens is when i recieve a txt the words are all mixed up and it seems to have merged with a previous txt..and yestdai the phone sent the same sms 8 times..pls help.thank u.xxx
