i think the new symbian os 9.5 will be available in the newer versions of the P series and it will be not compaitable with the P990 it's just like the windows mobile if you have a PDA with windows mobile V5.0 it will not be compaitable with V6.0 like the i-mate PDAs they made a new models that is compaitable with new windows mobile 'cause the older Models are not

My laptop arrives next week with MS Vista pre-installed. Anyone got Vista drivers for the P990? I've been testing the PC Suite and it won't install. Cheers

Kenny: It's hard to say - I think if the RAM management would be improved and if P990 would have about 20 MB RAM free always available it would be enough. But I also want to point that besides some critical situations the phone rulez. Just everything for my work.

Although i have a se p800 i'm not a big fan of this specific phone model....it has some functions that simply just should not exist. Besides this phone comes with a feature like no other phone....built-in errors :P. Most of the p990 i have seen have errors starting from the moment you first turn them on....It may look preety...but it sucks. besides if you can use all that this phone has to offer why don't you just get yourself a laptop...it's easier to use :P

                            hi doministry!

anyway about the RAM management problem in all P990 do you think there is a need for a faster processor(like 300Mhz instead of 208 only) if the RAM of the phone is already big?

Definitely MAKE an upgrade, r9 has flip closed menu without animation.

Shoaib: you close the application through the task manager! Press the task manager icon, than go to open and there you see open tasks - push Close or choose Close all from upper menu. That's it, otherwise all the apps remain open!
