i went to purchase the p990 today, but i decided to check the internet for more feedback from current users..i was suprised to find out that so many peopke are complaining about the phone..i opted not to buy it and purchased a htc tytn instead..i can live with poorer screen resolution and weaker camera.. i have more options with third party software, and i dont have to wait for se to keep coming out with firmware to fix the bugs on the 990..sorry se, but you made me wait too long for a product with so many internal issues and is priced to compete with the tytn..

There is a trick to upgrade the speed of your P990, In Flip Open Mode try clicking on the triangle icon on bottom left of the screen, see the speed of the icon kinda slow, and also then try clicking on the 4 Dot Menu Icon, the speed is also kinda slow.
Now click on Media player then play on the Demo Movie available there, then hit back button, (Dont close your media player in task manager.) Now click on the Triangle icon on bottom left of the screen and the 4 Dot Icon Menu, U will see the amazing speed potential of P990...

Had this phone 5 days now, and while it has been some great features (camera, rss), it has be very buggy. I only installed Agile messenger. I just did a factory reset, and am a bit afraid to do to much with it. There is suppose to be a firmware upgrade that fixes some issues, but overall, I am rather disappointed with the bugs.

I just got my P990 this afternoon... Hi-Mobile have the best service so far, Bought it mon monday, got it on wednesday!! I've been testing the phone for over than 3 hours the only disapointment so far , is the small buttons on the QWERTY screen, I though they would have been bigger ( i have big hands lol).. Other than that WIFI is working great, the speed is very decent .,..Do not excpect to have the speed a Dual Processor. But fast enough for mobile browsing, MSN messanger is working fantastic... I couldnt istall World mate, i dont know why though.The screen resolution is brilliant, the jog dial is very handy like its predecessors P900, P910. I was a Nokia fan for a very long time (I just bought N91 3 months ago, but the Software has lots of buggs) Today, I have my 1st SE Phone, and im very content with it so far, Thumbs up SE , great job!! My GF is so mad at me .,.. Coz I've ignoring her since for the last 3 hours.. I just cant stop playing and discovering the applications of my new Babe.

Symbian OS is very slow. That's why.
Look at other SE handset not using symbian OS. They are pretty fast. Cheers

yes, very low speed, but good in screen, E61 faster. not worth buying, better atom or Hp 6828, more powerful.
better think twice when you want to buy this gadget.

Guys..Guys..lets stop speculating on the release dates..no one can give a definite date for now...so if someone gave you a date(this includes people from SE also)jus dont get too excited...i have been hearing dates for a long time now...so i say lets just get on with our lives for now and when the P990 is launched lets all go and get one....hmmmmmmmmmm....i want mine sooooooon ;-)

I'm very disappointed with my new P990i. I bought 2.I installed my SIM and notice that the signal was only 1 bar,and sometimes none at all,but my other phones have a full bar of signal.I thought maybe its defective so i tried another p990 and its the same thing.My Nokia E61 does not lose coverage.
